where you can find me
I'm a "retired" registered nurse, mom, and military wife. What was once just a hobby became a happy accident of a career. I used to joke about becoming an event planner so it is still unbelievable I ended up a wedding photographer. I love the chaos, the dresses, the tuxes, the ballrooms, the barns, the families, the music...I could go on and on. I love everything about a wedding and can’t ever get enough!
I ended up a wedding photographer by accident. It's true! In 2015, I was encouraged to accept my very first wedding having never photographed anything professionally and definitely having never shot a wedding. I turned the gig down twice before I finally agreed. I got my business license just one week before that first wedding and the rest is history! Year after year I continue to dedicate my time to couples in love!
Yes, I love being a wedding photographer, but first and foremost, I love the people I photograph even more. Many of my clients have left reviews saying I wasn't just their photographer but their friend. It continues to be the best compliment I receive and I cherish those reviews like you wouldn't believe. I continue to make it my #1 priority to be more and do more and create an experience you will never forget.
Here's the bio for you wordy folks like me! First and foremost, I have all the words and energy and I'm absolutely obsessed with everything "wedding" - always have been and always will be. So, it didn’t take long when I first started my photography career to see where my heart was leading me. With almost a decade of experience now, wedding photography is my specialty and definitely where I shine! This job is so much more to me than just taking pretty pictures. It's about the whole experience. It’s about YOU, your significant other, and the adventure that led you to your big day!

Yes! Someone (second shooter and/or assistant) accompanies me to every wedding I photograph! Unlike most photographers, I have a team and each member volunteers her time for a streamlined, professional approach to your big day!
Yes. I offer three wedding photography collections with a la carte options. The base collection starts at $4,200. Use the contact form to request your investment guide.
It's a huge investment but photography is also one of the only things you'll have after your wedding. I help my couples by offering no interest, no fee, flexible, payment plans. We work together and set them up according to your individual needs. Ask for more details!
Yes! All wedding photography collections include an engagement session.
Wedding collections include photography coverage for areas in the Ohio Valley including West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania (including the Pittsburgh area). Farther distances can be accommodated but may require an additional charge for travel and lodging.
Weddings can be stressful but that doesn't stop me! Almost every wedding has at least one "uh oh" moment. I refuse to let my couples stress about those things. I want you to laugh. I want you to look at your photos (and blog) in years to come and remember all those good memories...and even laugh about the hiccups!
Before every wedding, I have a checklist I go through to make sure not one thing gets left behind - including my back up gear (you know, just in case). Also on that list is my "emergency bag" and it contains anything and everything we may need in the event something goes wrong on your wedding day - bobby pins, garment tape, and my sewing kit are the most used items! Do you see a trend?
I once secured an aisle runner with that garment tape I carry and this happened right before the ceremony was about to start. Yep! This is based on true events and it was definitely a first for me! I want everything to be as perfect as possible for my couples so all you need to do is ask. Side Note: THIS is why we wear shorts under our dresses.
Not all men love to have their photo taken...most don't even like it at all, let's be honest. It's my job to make sure everyone has a good time! Many "I don't like photo time" grooms have left reviews saying they didn't hate it as much as they thought...and actually enjoyed it. Whattttttt?
I won't let my couples stress about location or weather. Nope. That's my job! Location for any of your photos should never be an issue - it's all about angles and light! I've photographed some of my favorite photos from an asphalt parking lot or stuffed in a random corner or in the pouring rain.
Have you read the blogs? If you have, you already know what I'm talking about. I'm loud and energetic and always excited about a wedding day. Those nerves you have leading up to those big moments? They'll go right out the window once I've arrived on the scene, I promise!
