NEW COUPLE ALERT! Teresa and Joey are on the blog right now with their engagement session from last Friday. I haven’t really had to gamble with weather and race any storms this year for engagement photos…but alas, someone had to be the first for 2024. That couple was Teresa and Joey BUT that’s A OK too…they were super flexible arriving early and we finished up JUST in time for a storm to arrive. AND I mean by just seconds. So, please give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Their engagement photos are ready!
These two told me in their couple fun fact survey that they were super excited for their engagement (and wedding) photos! WHATTTTTTT?! OMG! That never happens! So, they arrived and we took a little stroll and got right down to it. They weren’t kidding either. They were super excited…I didn’t sense any nerves…and they got right into the posing!
You know, it’s been a long time since a couple filled out my fun fact survey so I’m going to tell you ALL about these two because they did! Ready?! READY! They were together 6 years before getting engaged. They met at a mutual friend’s party in college and then started dating about 2 months later. They actually got engaged around Christmas in 2023 in WV. They were hiking at the New River Gorge AND had a photographer capture it all (I’m going to need to see the photos).
Yeaaaaaa…they were real comfy in front of my camera right off the bat! See?!
A little wind in the willow trees made for some more beauties before we took a walk back!
This was originally…my original idea spot. We were also going to go to the waterfall but after seeing the more elegant and classy outfits (and risk of storms coming)…we decided to make the best of it. I went back and forth in my head whether to use this spot. I did a little tweaking so you couldn’t see any sludge and embraced the water color. What do we think?! I figured “Egh…what the heck?!” I had already taken a good bit of photos…I had other ideas in mind. Teresa wanted to explore another little location…so we snapped just a few since we were passing anyway!
Every session has a “Ahhhhh…they’re really comfy now” moment. These two really sunk into the poses at this new location!
The flowers weren’t quite out yet but that didn’t matter to me!
A good classy and beautiful ring will NEVERRRR go out of style!
We had originally planned to hop in the cars and go to another location but thunder was rolling. Rain was starting to fall but I wasn’t quite done with them. I used the “you’re just going to have to trust me” speech and made this little area work for us! Good thing I did too because as soon as we got in the cars it started really storming! Been doing this almost ten years…I can work under weather pressure!
AHHHHH!! They cheated…Teresa was a dancer. Not sure if Joey was a dancer but he sure does do a good dip too!
…and SPIN!
They’re planning a very “classic feel” kind of wedding and you all KNOW I love a good classy, traditional wedding. After their formal Catholic ceremony, they’ll be driving over to Wheeling’s White Palace to celebrate! I can NOT wait to see it all redone…I haven’t been back yet! YAY!
Thanks for reading…stay cool, everyone!! It’s HOT out there! Happy Tuesday!
