Happy May, everyone! If there was ever a wedding that would make you feel all the Spring vibes, Cameron and Chas’ Belmont County, Ohio Wedding would be IT! Aside from the weather (which was a bit too cool for my liking in May), this wedding was everything sweet and Spring right down to the people, pink color palette and flower bouquets! So, let’s get right down to it, shall we?! Please give the new Mr. & Mrs. Snider ALL your Hannah Barlow Photography, love! Their wedding is live on the blog right now! ENJOY!

Ashley (Plans for Perfection) was the original creator of this timeline and, as always, trusted me to make my way all over the valley while also completing this couple’s desired photo list! So, THAT we did! Becca and I met up and went straight to Waterfront Hall where the ladies were getting hair and makeup done inside Be Salon!

We snapped some photos real quick and then off to Chas’ house we went to catch the men getting ready AND to get some groom details completed! Would you believe me if I told you I took these in the laundry room? That’s right! I stole this wooden drink server (platter? What would you call it?) from the bar and then off we went to the laundry room. LISTENNNN…I know it sounds crazy but I tell people over and over, “You’re just going to have to trust me because I do choose some crazy photo locations!” and true to that statement, many probably thought I was crazy in this moment (Not Aaron Woods though…he was filming and has done a wedding with me before and thankfully is so laid back and used to my craziness). LISTEN…this was the one room I wouldn’t be in anyone’s way AND it had great light! The white background…is just the washer and dryer. I kid you not! HA! And look how great they turned out! You’d never know, right?

The timeline was tight and I knew this going into the beginning of the day so I snap, snap, snapped all the photos I could of the men getting ready and then we got Chas ready before I took off to the ladies’ getting ready location!

I grabbed Dad and got some moments with him too before we took off! And you know what I love about doing weddings again with families I know? At one point, Chas’ dad handed me HIS phone and told me Mom wanted to talk to me…I didn’t hesitate. I just grabbed it and we chatted and changed the timeline plan to meet everyone’s needs…THAT it the most important part of a wedding day for me…NO ONE should be stressed. I’ll always be flexible!

Once we arrived to Cameron’s parents’ home, time was of the essence so we got right down to bridal details and then we got this beautiful bride ready!

…and she got ready in her childhood bedroom which was also PINK and it just all worked out SO nicely! Their engagement session was pink too (you can see some of the photos in the dress detail shot above) and it all worked out! You can see their engagement session HERE! I’m glad we did the photos in this room because the emotions were flowing and it was nice to capture this without an audience.

BUT we can’t leave anyone out so first looks with bridesmaids and then Dad were a must!

THEN, we were off to the church! I’m told this church is over 100 years old…no kidding! It did have that vibe nestled down in this little area off a tiny side road in Belmont County, Ohio. Cameron’s mom asked for a photo of the outside and then some details inside so I got right to that! It’s storybook, yes?!

The inside is GRAND!

As with most church ceremonies, it’s a race against time to get everything photographed, done and then prepped before the music starts playing (or in this case, the ladies start singing) and then people start walking and I MUST be ready. The time before the ceremony was all a blur to me but looking back, we really did cover SO much! Chas needed to have a moment with his mom. We floated these moments (earlier when I spoke with her on Dad’s phone) to the church so no one had to rush. If there’s one thing I STRESS to all my couples, “let me figure it out”…”let me stress so you don’t have to”. So, I grabbed mom…found Chas…and off we went!

Then, first touch moments with the assistance of both moms! I LOVE when moments and photos like this exist just because I was there at the right time! It’s one of my favorite parts of the job!

Chas was SO sweet in this moment. He kept saying, “I can’t believe you’re right there and I can’t look”! MY HEART!

Then, I grabbed my lenses (shoutout to Becca for having them ready and in hand and signaling me the ceremony was starting) and ran to the front of the church just in time for the ceremony to start! Becca gets the photos in the back. I get the photos in the front (which became a funny moment later…stay tuned).

Zoom to find me (below). It was at this point, I realized I was trapped. I like to be super respectful of the ceremony and not cause any distraction so I texted Becca on my watch and told her to “stay in the middle…I’m trapped”. Apparently she looked up to find me…zoom to find me and giggle.

I got an opportunity when the guests stood to make a break for it and HUGE shoutout and thanks to the wonderful bridesmaids on the end who made room for me to escape…incognito! You were single handedly a huge part of me being able to get photos from the front AND back! Teamwork!

It was a GORGEOUS ceremony! The couple opted to release their guests from the pews while greeting and hugging everyone and then they came out for a flower petal release. They tell me these are some of their favorite photos (ok…they’ve only seen ONE…but it’s one of their favorites thus far). So, here’s two! Trust me, there were plenty of “unusable ones” because the petals took me out and my camera couldn’t see anything…but that’s why we snap, snap and snap and we’ll get some! I think I had 5 or 6 from these moments.

Another moment I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I sneaked into this room to change my lenses in preparation for family formals and the marriage license and book were being signed!

We completed some family formals inside with the plans to do the immediate families outside (which truly worked in our favor because it was chillllyyyyy and kind of damp). Cameron’s mom requested a photo of the couple in the church, empty…with the iconostasis in the background! CHECK! Got it! I also gave them both color and black and white. I couldn’t decide which one I liked more and since I’ve given you a lot of color so far…here’s a black and white!

Then, we went right into family formals and I photographed the Reese and Snider families from full family group photos right down to individuals of bride and groom with each parent! Here’s a preview of the full family photos as seen in the sneak peek! (This isn’t ALL the photos…reach out to the couple to seen more)!

Then, time truly…I mean REALLY…was of the essence. We raced off to St. Clairsville’s courthouse (the Belmont County, Ohio Courthouse) and got right down to bridal party photos and bride and groom couple portraits. I’m not gonna lie…there for a hot second I was pretty sweaty looking at the clock, looking at the timeline and knowing how many photos we had to complete. Lucky for me, this group was 10/10 “go with the flow” and we really got these done so incredibly fast! THANK YOU to all of you! I would have hugged you…but again…I was sweaty despite the cool air! MUST get all the photos on the list completed! We can do it!
Ladies, first…because it was chilly! I LOVE all this pink! TRULY! I’m a color loving photographer and a palette like this is a DREAM!

Cameron. GIRL! You make the most stunning bride! SO classy!

Full bridal party was next! I do it this way so the women could be done and head to the bus to warm up!

This was a photo request from the couple and I saw the sun pop out for just a moment and had to take this opportunity to get this shot! So, we paused bridal party photos to grab this and I’m so glad we did because it remained cloudy for the rest of the day (and even rained later).

Time for the men! You wouldn’t know it from the hats, glasses, cigars…you name it..but this group was super laid back and super easy and fun to photograph!

Chas! SIR! You’re doing the groom thing in a great way!

…and now…it’s time. Time for us to get all those elegant and classy photos complete for this couple to hang on their wall!!! When Cameron sent me her “inspo list”…it was ALL stone…which sent me into a mini Hannah panic for their engagement session considering we were planning to do that in a field. Cameron was confident in the field…and she was right! The Wedding Gods really made sure it all happened because then it poured…like sheets of rain poured…the night before this wedding which made the ground gross in many places. I was so nervous about Cameron’s gown getting dirty. Or stepped on (which happens often) or even her shoes getting gross and sinking in the soft ground so I talked to them about the courthouse so everyone could stay clean and dry. They trusted me! Again, “you’re just going to have to trust me”…I KNOW it doesn’t look like anything but it can make for some grand photos!

The area up here left a lot to be desired in person but I just knew we could make it work! I originally set them up here but didn’t like the building in the background so I flipped them around…and made sure to use literally every second to get all the photos…them walking to switch places and all!

I mean…I was SO excited about these!!! Cue all the Hannah squeals!

I even got a few funny outtakes! Lipstick on the cheek! Here we come!

I like to give variety! So, again…I made sure to photograph all the moments even when we were transferring from one location to another. I’m also JUST realizing I forgot to photoshop out those “emergency exit” signs in that one photo below so I’m going to go back and fix that BEFORE I send the gallery to the couple…and while most people would delete this part of the blog and fix it…this is real life. This is the process and I photoshopped a TON of exit signs…my eyes were crossed. It’s no surprise I missed one and I’ll definitely fix it before gallery delivery!

All moments…must be captured! Becca from the back…me from the front! It’s a well oiled machine team approach!

I wanted some more “green” and trees in the background so we went back to this little spot!

These two weren’t super confident in their dip…mentally BUT LOOK. What they didn’t realize (and I wasn’t lying) is that they literally nailed it…no effort. If you can fix your wife’s hair and she can stay in the pose and smile with no effort on either of your faces, you’re GOOD at the dip! SO GOOD! And I’m so glad Becca caught this!

Just a few more and then we needed to make our way to the reception!

I was in contact with Lauren and Irene (Plans for Perfection) and let them know I may be running a FEWWWWWW minutes late (which I never do…but I HAD to get these photos and it technically wasn’t going to make us late for the reception…just cocktail hour…so DJ Brian Oliver wouldn’t have a fit either…HA!). Becca dropped me at the curb and I took off into Belmont College (college off the interstate in Belmont County, Ohio) and got right down to reception photos. This was my first time here ever…even for a wedding!

Brian welcome the parents and bridal party into the reception!

Then, Cameron and Chas were welcomed in AS “Mr. & Mrs. Snider” and they got to cut their GORGEOUS cake (which was ALL real from Masterpieces of old Town) and dance their first dance.

Then, Brian and I got down to our “tradition” and did the table race. We originally had all planned on doing the photo bomb strategy to save the couple from having to run BUT given how many people were at this wedding and the smaller dance floor (seriously…it was a LARGE wedding and I was loving that big weddings are BACK), Brian opted to do it this way…and he was right! I even had to break it down into three collages for the blog due to the number of tables. So, if you’d like your table, please reach out to Cameron and Chas! They’ll be receiving their full gallery with all the high res images!

Wheww! We got them done! Do you know how stressful it is to have to get all those in focus, get them all well lit, and not bump anyone while we are RACING the clock?! I’ve been doing this for five years and I never stop stressing about it! We got it done though!
Time for parent dances!

Speeches and show game!

As Brian always does, he got the party STARTED! And his uplighting was just glorious for this wedding! Look at that COLOR! Here’s a very small preview of the reception dancing!

Before we took off, I saw the cake sitting out and snapped a photo! End of night vibes (for us) and all that! I like closure in a gallery!

And that’s a wrap on wedding #2 of the season! This one happened SO FAST, I feel like. They booked me in September? October of last year? Cameron and her mom came down to the studio! I got to meet the Snider family back in 2021, of course. It was SO nice to see them! Also, huge “thanks” to the Reese family for welcoming us into their home at the beginning of the day of this wedding too! It was so great to get to know them and spend the day with them too! This wedding very much had that “family love” vibe and I’m here for it! These two families have a history dating YEARS back…back before these two even started dating and fell in love. It’s storybook…truly.
Cameron and Chas have made me feel so loved and appreciated as a photographer…and more than I even think I deserve! From kind words and lots of laughs at their engagement session (see it again HERE) to a group text with all three of us after the wedding, I couldn’t be more tickled “pink” (HA HA…pun intended…I’m so lame sometimes, I swear) to send them this finished gallery with over 1200 photos it in! I hope this wedding was EVERYTHING everyone wanted and more! Thank you, everyone! Thanks for reading and have an amazing, sunny Tuesday!
CONGRATS TO THE NEW MR. & MRS. SNIDER!
