Nicole & Jim’s Engagement Session | Youngstown, OH | Hannah Barlow Photography

Hey, everyone!! It’s that time of year again!! YAY!!  “Booking season” is winding down so engagement sessions are kicking off now that the weather is supposed to be warming up!! What a weird winter, right?!  I’d love to say “now that it’s warming up” but it seems that it’s getting colder rather than warmer!!

With that being said, I’d like you all to meet Nicole and Jim!!  They hired me to be their wedding photographer back in January!  They are having a short engagement and will be tying the knot in just a couple of months around Youngstown, OH.  They have a beautiful spot picked out for their wedding photos at Mill Creek Metro Parks and wanted me to come along to see it before the big day.  So, my second shooter Kari and I traveled up there this past Sunday to check it out and this location did not fail to disappoint.  Kari had been there before so she knew it was a beauty!! There are just so many options at this place!! I can’t even believe it!  Check it out for yourselves!

Nicole spotted this neat little circle!  I’m glad she spotted it too!  Ironically, when I took a composition class, spotting circles (it was one of our assignments) was not my strong point! HA!

The light started to get really pretty at this point.  This bridge was so amazing and “old”!  I loved it!  Of course, I had them dancing a bit!

…more dancing!  I can NOT wait to photograph them here when they are all dolled up and officially man and wife!

Jim took us over to this bridge too!! Seriously, there are soooo many options at this place!! I have no idea how we’re going to pick when their wedding rolls around!  More dancing and dipping!

As simple as these photos are below, I think they are my favorite.  Less is more sometimes!  The light was really pretty too!! Bonus! His shirt was complimenting the background and it all just worked!  LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

..and last but not least, a nice ring shot!!! I love that he was making her laugh in the background!  I think it just adds to the photo!

As I mentioned above, these two will be tying the knot soon in May!! Keep a look out for their wedding gallery!  It’s going to be fabulous!  Nicole gave me a sneak peek of her invitation and I just can’t wait to see the rest of the wedding!  It was sooooo timeless and classy!
