Christina & Ben | Weirton, WV Ceremony | Pittsburgh, PA Reception

Hi, everyone!!!  I am finally sharing this beautiful wedding now that my own season had winded down!  I shot this wedding as a second shooter/assistant for Carrie Leigh Photography, LLC back in September over Labor Day weekend.  You can check out her work here.  Carrie and I have worked together before and she was kind enough to drag me along again!  We always have a great time working together.  I don’t know if it goes all the way back to us working together as a team during our high school volleyball days, or if we just naturally work well together.  The really ironic thing is we shoot very differently, style differently, organize differently, and we even shoot different brands.  She shoots Nikon and I shoot Canon.  Nonetheless, I think it works to our advantage and we always seem to have a great day with great people.  The nice images and nicely flowing wedding schedule is always a plus too!  This couple rocked their day!

Anyway, meet Christina and Ben!  They are both doctors currently finishing their residency in Florida.  They are an amazing couple and we couldn’t have asked to work with nicer people!  Christina’s family is Italian.  Some of her family actually came over from Italy to attend.  Carrie and I were greeted with lots of Italian words we didn’t understand and lots and lots of hugs and kisses.  It was such a welcoming group!  If it wasn’t for the cameras, you would have thought we were family and guests too!

These two got married at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Weirton, WV and the reception followed at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA.  Somehow, we managed to get to the reception with little traffic on a Pirate AND Pitt game day! Whewwww!  Photography Pittsburgh weddings can be stressful!

Christina got ready at her parent’s home in Weirton, WV.  It’s BEAUTIFUL!

The ceremony, as mentioned above, was held at St. Joseph’s in Weirton, WV.  You can find more information about them here.  It’s a BEAUTIFUL church!

I flew around after getting the above shot and Carrie was right there!! Look at her go!  She meant business and got this amazing shot!  If you swing on over to her site, you can see the shot she captured!

There were stairs and they led me to this amazing spot and this amazing wide angle shot!  I was sneaky, but all I could think about was that episode from Sex in the City where Carrie drops a bible off the top and it slaps the floor and everyone looks.  I got no where near the side, as a result! HA!

Everything was going smoothly and then Christina dropped his ring!  She was a total trooper, laughed it off, and moved on!  Memories!

After the ceremony, we moved on to the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA!  Here’s their information here.  Carrie found this little spot outside the hotel to do some formal shots!

Testing….testing…..light check and flash check! GOOD!  I seriously love second shooting for this girl!

If you wanted to see a real party, this was it.  Seriously, these people know how to get down…literally.  This lady just busted a split in the middle of the dance floor!! It was amazing!

Seriously, the part never stopped!!!!  I was even dancing along while shooting these!  The band was amazing too!
