Good evening, everyone! I want you to meet Hayley and Todd! Hayley is one of my very best friends. Ironically, I hadn’t see her for four years! We met ten years ago. We were thrust into a car to ride together just moments after meeting for the first time. I was only twenty years old! It’s just craziness how much time has passed! We hit it off right off the bat and despite the physical distance between us now, we’ve remained close. I didn’t realize quite how much I missed this girl until we were reunited! She’s an extremely special person to me. She was even one of my bridesmaids eight years ago! I can’t believe how much time has passed and now she’s the one getting married! She didn’t ask me to be a bridesmaid (thank goodness…. I’m serious….thanks Hayley! No more bridesmaid dresses for this girl! HA!), but she did ask me to be her photographer for her wedding. I can’t think of a better compliment! Those are some big shoes to fill and I didn’t even hesitate to say “yes”! I’m doing it! I’m going to photograph one of my closest friend’s wedding!
Hayley and Todd have been together for more than five years now! He works a lot and the few times I met up with Hayley throughout the last couple of years he was off on a ship working! So, this was the first time I’d met him in person! He’s a great guy and quite the old fashioned gentleman opening doors and what not! They’re a perfect match! I even got to meet his sweet parents whose hospitality was off the charts! These pictures were done on his family’s property. It’s just beautiful. It’s actually not quite in Windber but in a township outside of it. I can’t remember the name for the life of me! OooooO well! You get the picture!
Enjoy!
This one below is one of my favorites!
I made them walk. I make all my couples do this! Hayley kept cracking up laughing which made me laugh. One of my favorite things about her is her laugh. It’s just a giggle! I really missed it! It brought back so many memories. I swear all we do when we’re together is giggle and laugh!
Beautiful couple, right?!
Meet their fur baby, Helly!
Now for some drool worthy black and whites!
This location gave us so much variety! These felt very “fall” to me!
This photo below was Todd’s mom’s idea! She styled it and everything!
I’m loving this shot below too!
Those clouds were not photoshopped a bit! It rained….and rained…..and rained some more this whole day. The only time that it stopped raining was the little bit of time we were shooting these photos. Craziness! I love the moodiness the sky adds! Sometimes skies can be so boring and you either roll with it or fake it in photoshop! No need here! It really goes with the color scheme!
And of course, there was some dancing and some dipping!!!! No one gets out of it…not even when you’re a friend!
It was starting to spit rain but I found this rock and couldn’t pass it up!
…and now you can actually see the rain. About 30 seconds after this photo, we made a run for it. It started raining like crazy!
Congrats to the both of you!
Check back next year. These two are getting married in Annapolis next August!
