Meredith and Mike got married a couple weeks ago on Saturday, April 30th. I drove to Morgantown, WV to photograph with a high school friend. We go way back! This wasn’t my gig! Carrie of Carrie Leigh Photography was the primary photographer for this wedding! She met Meredith at the Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa wedding show. You can check out her work here! I was her second shooter slave (as I like to call it). There’s a lot of fun in being a second shooter. I got to be hands on throughout the day as I fluffed dresses, pinned boutonnieres, fixed ties, chased flowers girls and ring bearers….and I kept checking the weather! I think Carrie and I thought if we both checked the weather enough, the forecast for rain would magically go away! HA! The forecast was a little nerve racking. Rain….rain….a little drizzle…and more rain! It all turned out so magical though! Meredith looked like a true princess! Here’s some of the memories I captured! I hope you enjoy!
The girls got their hair and makeup done at Spa Roma just down the street from Lakeview. Meredith’s hair was a true masterpiece!
Some little details.
Carrie styled this next photo. I just snapped the picture.
Meredith and Mike exchanged gifts! I must say, he did REALLY well!
Let the last minute details commence!
A dress fit for a princess MUST be fluffed appropriately! These girls were all wonderful!
Before we headed outside to attempt to catch some shots in between the bouts of rain, we stopped in the reception hall to see how things were coming along.
Meredith and Mike decided to do a first look prior to the ceremony. The rain held off for a minute! YAY! Carrie shot the other angle. Check out her site for those photos!
These two are just too stinkin’ cute together!
I love that photo below on the right! They’re MARRIED!
Isn’t she gorgeous?!
I was really loving this color scheme!
Seriously, could these two get any cuter? They also did one of the most well executed dips I’ve seen!
This was one good looking bridal party! The rain held off too!!! So, checking the forecast over and over must have worked to our advantage!
We snuck back in one more time to get a few last minute shots before the guests came in to the reception hall.
You know it’s going to be a good party when……….there’s a game of flip cup going on before announcements AND the girls whooped on the guys so the bride had to show her new husband how it’s done! 🙂
They were always laughing!
First dance as husband and wife!
By the end of the night, that beautiful dress was weighing her down, so she changed in to something more comfortable! The party really got started after that! Meredith and Mike, congrats to you both! I’m so thrilled to have been a part of this day! The love in that room was overwhelming! You are both destined to have a very happy life together!
Thanks again to Carrie of Carrie Leigh Photography for letting me be your second shooter! It was a great wedding! I think we made a tremendous team!
