THIS IS IT! And what a way to finish up engagement sessions this year…with Rachel and Troy! Man OoOoOO man I bonded with these two SO fast! I feel it…I’m about to ramble on about these this couple so I’m going to ask you to give them ALL your Hannah Barlow Photography love now because their engagement session is on the blog right now! ENJOY!
I actually got to meet these two back in 2022 at a wedding show. They said they loved my energy and little did I know they were going to match my energy at this session. They came in for the holidays so this is was the only day that we could get together and while I didn’t think it was gonna be windy, we got a surprise. So, my original location (below) didn’t work out the way we had planned (HELLO
…WIND!)…not to mention that they have thin blood from being Florida folks and were absolutely freezing to death. So, we got up close and personal real quick in this spot and then I threw them in my car with the heated seats on and heat blasting. We laughed and laughed. And then we moved on to a different location.
You all know I love when things come full circle and are meant to be! This little location is somewhere I’ve never photographed before but I saw it when I was driving around and decided this is where we were going to go next. It even felt warmer because it was less windy. WIN!
Since we had originally planned for pine trees, I decided to utilize this little location.
You all know I love to throw couples in my car on the wedding day and drive them around. Well, with this couple, I felt comfortable enough to throw them in my car from the beginning…engagement session style! HA! So, as we were driving around and trying to warm up and laughing about the wind and the chilliness that was this day for their engagement session, Troy hollered out that he liked the fall leaves. Since they don’t get all leaves where he’s from, I decided this was gonna be a great location to stop next and boy was I correct! It ended up being THE place! So, let’s dance!
I can confidently tell you that their wedding is going to be one of those “no matter what, it’s going to be great” kind of wedding days. They laughed and danced and did everything I asked them to do and then I laughed and danced and squealed in my Hannah way!
They were even up for some sitting pictures and I conveniently had a little blanket in my car. Sitting photos are not easy but these two made it look easy AND these ended up being some favorites of mine!
The excitement and joy that you see in these photos is exactly how I would describe these two. They’re so easy to be around and they made me smile and laugh and I can tell you that I am already so excited for their wedding day and have visions of the magic that we’re going to make.
I found myself being wedding photographer and wedding planner. That’s one of my favorite things to be! Their wedding is going to be at Oglebay’s Pine Room next year so we went inside and took a little tour and talked about the logistics of the room and the things I recommend to do and not to do and then we came outside and took just a few more photos. AHHHHH!! More favorites!
Rachel and Troy’s wedding is going to be one of those weddings I’m probably going to have to arrive about a half hour or more early to get rid of all my Hannah energy so I don’t run into their rooms like a complete wedding photographer psycho and scare everyone. If you now me, you know!! I never get tired of wedding day excitement. They may regret saying that they like my energy because I’m about to bring all the energy to their wedding day! AHHHHH!!! So excited over here! If they can make engagement photos on a cold, windy day look this good and be this much fun, can you imagine what their summer wedding is going to be like!? To top it all off, Geery media is going to be there too, so it’s going to be a great day all the way around! Check back next summer to see them as bride and groom! That’s a WRAP on 2023 engagement sessions! See you next year! WOOOO!!!
