Julianna & Jesse’s Summer Engagement Session

Helllooo!! Happy Tuesday and NEW COUPLE ALERT! Julianna (Julez) and Jesse are on the blog right now! You’re not going to believe it when I tell you this was last Wednesday (the crazy windy day) AND it was raining! Nothing could stop us from making these photos stunning! Despite the wind, Julez wanted to go for it and she brought their two fur babies to start off the session! Meet Micco and Kya! I don’t think I’ve ever seen red huskies in person and they were absolutely beautiful!! Also, HUGE shoutout to Jesse’s mom, Jodi, for coming and being the dog sitter while we finished off the session!

Outfits and this location meshed perfectly! These two were super easy to pose (which seems to be a great theme this year) and totally calm when it came to the weather. You know who wasn’t calm? Me, of course! Not only was I excited about what was happening on my camera so quickly but I also saw dark clouds coming and wanted to make sure I got these done so we could do some outfit changes!

Same building but just a different perspective! These two are having a barn style wedding so I felt this building was going to suit that vibe just perfectly if they decide to print some for their wedding day!

To the flowers! She did an outfit change….and it was raining. That’s right!! Would you believe it if I told you it was actively raining in these photos?! Regardless of weather, I sure hope we are graced with this type of chill vibe on the wedding day…WHICH is just a few weeks away!

Snuggles and walking and alllllllll the things before another outfit change. Don’t look at us like that! HA! We couldn’t decide on which dress. That’s right…she included me in decision making and we were torn…so outfit changes it was! We jived and vibed from the first time we chatted, I’m telling ya! I even told her yesterday how lucky I feel to have couples keep finding me that I just click with! Another one of my brides who hasn’t done her engagement session yet liked this dress so much she reached out and asked if I’d ask Julez where she got it and she sent me the link and I sent it back! These brides don’t even know each other but the HBP “family” has always been strong! This isn’t the first time something like this has happened and it always warms my heart!

Jesse got lucky…he didn’t have to change BUT he did have to deal with the both of us and soooooooo many photos! AHHHHHH…they photograph so well!

Before we wrapped up this session, I had to take advantage of how comfy they were in front of my camera and they absolutely pulled out some model shots!

Julez loves her Jeep and she requested a photo in front of it. NAILED ITTTTTTTTTTTT! But also, we thought the keys were locked in the Jeep so the fact that we could pull this off while wondering if they were even going to be able to get home? Well….that was a test from the Wedding Gods and we got an A+! No matter what happens on the wedding day, I think we’ll be A OK!

The side of her ring is stunning! Her color palette is a pink/magenta like color (and I haven’t photographed that in a while….so SIGN ME UP)! I’m going to stand this baby up on the invitation and make it SHINE! You just wait! It’s going to be fabulous!

In a little over five weeks, these two are taking me up to Monarch Veil (I’ve never been and I’m SO pumped). If you know me, there is NOTHING I get more excited about than a fresh canvas! The options are going to be endless! They’ve planned this wedding very fast and I know she had lots and lots of options for photographers so the pressure is ON and I’m ready for it!! Let’s do this! I’ve got one more July wedding and then August is going to be WILD! The first half of wedding season was light…end of summer and fall is jam packed! I’m excited…are you excited?!
