Hi, everyone! I’ve got…you guessed it…a NEW COUPLE ALERT! I got to photograph Cassi, Charlie and their son, Hunter, this week and their engagement photos are ready to be seen! Please give them your warmest welcome and all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Happy Friday!
Cassi and I met virtually a few months back to decide if I was the photographer for them. I promised, in my Hannah way, to make things go fast and as smoothly as possible and that’s just what we did at this session. Cassi told me Charlie didn’t love photos (do most men?…no…no they do NOT!). So, we met up and got right down to it and I quickly found out that that mayyyyyyy have been an exaggeration on her part (Looking at you, girl!) OR Charlie’s just a kind gentleman and put up with my energy and shenanigans because right off the bat there was no awkwardness. I’m going with the latter because I just read their couple fun facts survey and saw that they put in for how excited they were for pictures…I usually say “would you rather have your fingernails pulled off with pliers than take photos?” I’ll keep it PG for what they REALLY said…and can confirm…that’s what Charlie would rather do! HA! This makes these photos all the more special then because we did it! I didn’t sense a bit of hatred for photos time…I didn’t!
So, first up…Mr. Hunter…who is thee BIGGEST flirt and SUCH an easy guy to photograph!
I mean…isn’t he a ham?! I told him he has to bring all his cuteness to their wedding next year!
Then, shoutout to Charlie’s nephew, Matthew, for being the Hunter watcher for the evening! They went for a walk and we got right down to the official engagement photos. I’ve just a FEW more weeks of fall left and all this color is going to be gone. The wind the last few days really did a number on it but we sneaked this session in JUST in time!
After that, we moved to a different location for variety! Even when the fall leaves have started to fall, it doesn’t take away from the fall feel…in years past…I’ve always preferred my November fall sessions (I know it was still October…but close enough). Happy November 1st, everyone…while I’m thinking about it!
Hunter was just cheesing away! I can’t miss an opportunity for some gold, old…traditional kid photos!
Matthew’s heart and patience with this little dude also necessitated a photo (shared with permission). They looked over and said, “What are you doing?” They were having snacks…both of them. Kid snacks! HA!
These were actually at our previous location but I really loved the colors with the outfits!
So, let’s see some more!
More photos! This has been my favorite year to photograph autumn too! I liked this little random spot that I proclaimed, “you’re just going to have to trust me” but given Cassi seemed to know and expect my prompts, I think she knew what was coming! These two had been together two years before they got engaged. Charlie proposed just the two of them and gave her this engagement ring!
These were some of my favorites…because we got Charlie to smile! I think it was more of a “this is absolutely ridiculous” kind of thing BUT…it makes my heart happy to see genuine moments and joy unfold when you’re halfway through a session. All that weirdness is gone! Well, at least that’s what I tell myself in my head!
I side eyed this little leafy spot so I knew we had to go back there before we ended photo time!
…and last but not least…I got a ring photo with the leaves!
And that’s it! I do believe I only have one more engagement photo session for the year! 2024 is almost over! HOW?! These two are planning a rustic, barn wedding at Rustic Meadow Farms filled with sunflowers and roses. They want it to be full of friends and family too! So, I’ll see you all in about a year!
