White/Bell Wedding | Oglebay / River City Ale Works | Wheeling, WV

Amanda and Brian got married June 4, 2016.  They started their day off with a “possible rain and thunderstorm” watch, but it ended up being a BEAUTIFUL day.  At one point, I felt a few drops, but the skies stayed relatively clear, they were able to have their outdoor ceremony at Oglebay, and we had enough time to get pictures before heading to the reception at River City Ale Works in Wheeling, WV.

It was a beautiful wedding all the way around.  Beautiful colors and decor.  Beautiful people both inside and out.  I was lucky to be there this day and I have to admit that I’m a little obsessed (and jealous) over these colors.  I couldn’t get over the details for this wedding.  Everything was SO gorgeous!

Congratulations, Amanda and Brian!

I’m sad to admit that I styled these shoes wrong! UGH!  So mad at myself! The rhinestones are supposed to go in the front with the bows in the back.  They are still gorgeous though, so I had to include the picture!  You would’ve never known otherwise, right?! 🙂

It was Amanda’s idea to hang the dress here.  It was a great idea!  The Hampton Inn in Wheeling has some amazing places right outside the hotel to take photographs.  The dress looked stunning.  I even had a cicada pose for the picture on the skirt of her dress, but I had to zap him out in photoshop in the end.  Better than zapping him in real life!

My second shooter Colleen styled the stuff below.  She said it looked like “Ariel’s treasure chest”.  I would have to agree.  I really loved the idea of throwing everything together.  Such beautiful stuff!

It’s not often I get so excited over the groom’s details, but he had some really good stuff!  I love these pictures, as well!  I also love that the watch shows the date “4”.

These guys were so welcoming.  They let me barge right in to their room and let me take pictures of them getting ready.  Thanks, guys!

The men’s attire for this wedding was phenomenal!  They could have posed for the catalog spread!

You all know me by now.  I MUST sneak in some black and white shots!

This group below came from Wheeling Park High School.  Apparently, they are the only high school is our area with a string program.  They were awesome!  If you need a string group, check them out! (I think the guy on the left knew I was taking his picture.  I love how he smiled for me!)

When Amanda and I first started discussing her wedding back in January, we talked about a first look vs. waiting until she walked down the aisle.  She really wanted to wait and that was fine by me!  She mentioned that she loved when that moment happens when the grooms first sees his bride.  I usually always have my camera ready, BUT I was REALLY ready this time and boy am I glad I did.  Brian’s reaction was one of the most sincere I’ve ever seen.  So sweet!

Brian and Amanda decided to do something a little different.  Instead of a unity candle or a sand ceremony, they did a tree planting ceremony.  Great idea, huh?

I love this photo below simply because it reminded me of a movie.  He looks like a body guard here.  Honestly, this must be his nature when it comes to Amanda because I had a lot of sweet shots like this where he appeared to be protecting her. 🙂  I love it!  I’m a romantic, what can I say?!

A little sweetness with the best flower girl ever, Hannah!

Amanda’s bouquet was done by a florist, BUT she did the others by herself.  They matched so well!  No one would have ever known had I not just posted it all over the internet!  She’s good! REAL good!

We picked cicadas off of her dress all day long!  With that being said, we had to have a great image to remember those little guys (and girls)!  Attack of the cicadas!

If you know Wheeling, you know this bridge.  True story…we had to literally fight traffic to get this shot. It took a few tries, but I’m so glad Amanda insisted.  They are some of my favorite photos.

 Wait for a red light.  Run into street.  Pose. Snap photo.  Run back to safety.

A new tradition I’ve seen sprout in the last couple of years is to do the last dance of the night to John Denver’s “Country Roads”.  It’s always a nice picture because most DJ’s ask the guests to make a big circle around the bride and groom.  You can always feel the love, but then you have this amazing couple do this…..AND DIP……and it’s now a REALLY amazing picture, moment, and memory!  Thank you so much, Amanda and Brian (and all your family and friends who were so kind).
