Happy August, everyone!

Will everyone please give a warm welcome to this HBP couple?!

Meet Cassie and Dan!

I can’t even believe it.  These photos are once in a lifetime photos!  Cassie and Dan aren’t even engaged either!  AHHHHHHH!! She reached out to me a few months back and wanted a basic couple’s session.  I was happy to oblige especially since I didn’t have any weddings this month.  I actually tried to call off this session on account of the rain.  (Let’s be honest here.  I was a little gun shy going back out four days later with rain in the forecast again).  I did one rainy session.  I didn’t want a repeat another so soon!  Nonetheless, Cassie wanted to go for it and OoooO my goodness am I glad we did! CHECK.IT.OUT!  She knew.  This girl just KNEW!

I mean…THERE’S FOG ON THE LAKE BUT IT IS SUNNY!  GET OUT!

I didn’t know these two prior to this session.  Cassie and I had very basic correspondence prior to meeting up this day.  I’m here to tell you they were one of the easiest couples I’ve ever photographed.  Yep!  They go right up toward the top of the list.  Dan seriously did not care what I asked him to do.  He even threw in some jokes here and there.  Cassie is a natural model in front of the camera too. I gave her very basic poses and she moved through them and made them very “Cassie and Dan”.  EEEKKKKK!

I’m telling you…even his glasses cooperated.  I never got any glare once!  We also had a good laugh when I hid in this grass.  You know me, people!! If I see grass I can shoot through, you can guarantee I’ll be standing in it! HA!

So, they snuggled and danced…on a dock…on the lake. *swoon emoji*

It really does NOT get any more beautiful than this!  These poses aren’t typical HBP poses either!  I’m going to have to name a few after these two beautiful people (you all know I love to name my poses).

I went back and forth.  Back and forth.  I decided to post black and white!  They’re amazing!

They also did some walking on the dock!

…and some forehead kissing during sunset.

Some snuggling was happening on the beach too!  I can’t even get over these!! Such simple outfits with amazing people turned in to some outstanding photographs! I hope they love them as much as I do! 

Now, lets rewind a bit.  At the beginning of every session, I had the “hand in pocket” conversation with Dan.  You all know I don’t allow hands in pockets.  He joked that he was going to get some hand in pocket photos!  So, he did.  We had a good laugh! 

…and I let him keep it there because they still managed to look connected!  I love love love all the colors going on here!  I almost busted out my flash but decided I liked the warm light…shadows and all!

Finally, we did some fun shots at the end.  They suggested going on the swings.  These swings were really little…made for children, of course.  So, we giggled through it and finished off this session with a BANG!  Aren’t they amazing?!  (The couple…not hte photos…HA!)

 oOoO and one last thought – “Dear Engagement Gods, if or when these two decide to agree to spend their lives together.  If and when there’s a beautiful rock on her finger…let them call me!  Let me be available for their date.  If they hire someone else, MAKE SURE I SEE THOSE PHOTOS!”  HA!  I can’t even image what their wedding photos would look like!! AHHHH!! I know…I know…Dan is probably thinking, “Now wait a second.  Hold your horses!”.  I can’t.  I can’t! Thanks for being so awesome you two! <3 <3
