Happy New Year! | A Year of Weddings | 2017 Couples

Happy 2017, everyone!!!  Brace yourselves, it’s a long one, but these couples deserve it!

It’s a new year AND it’s a year full of weddings!! AHHHH!  I couldn’t be more thrilled about the line up of weddings I have on my calendar this year.  To celebrate, I wanted to go back and show you some highlights of these couples’ engagement sessions.  This makes the anticipation all the more sweet, doesn’t it?  Just picture these couples all dolled up on their big day!  I can’t wait to capture their memories.  It was a joy to get to know all of them last year and help them work through the wedding planning process.  Some have sent me Pinterest boards.  Some have shared photos standing up on a pedestal after they said “yes” to the dress (I love those by the way…keep them coming!).  Some have called, texted, or emailed me regarding hiccups and blunders.  It’s been amazing being a part of the process.  I always wanted to be a wedding planner, but now I feel like I got the better end of the deal.  I get to photograph the fine details and capture the love story!  I just can’t believe it!  I can’t wait to see what comes together on their wedding days.

Congratulations to all my couples!! This is your year!!  It came so fast, didn’t it?!

Megan and Tripper will be getting married in Wellsburg, WV at the end of this month!!  We also did their engagement photos in Wellsburg!  They’ll be holding their reception in Follansbee, WV at the Saint Francis Center.  We’re hoping for some pretty snow on the ground and nice clear roads!! I was a December bride.  Winter weddings warm my heart, but I’m a little biased!

Erinn and Andrew will be getting married Memorial Day weekend at Irons Mill Farmstead in New Wilmington, PA.  We did their engagement shoot on a randomly rainy afternoon in Pittsburgh, PA.  Remember the amazing photos at Penn Station?! AHHH!! Still in love with those!

Jane and Zac are getting married the first weekend in June.  WOW!  That weekend was probably one of the most requested for this year.  I think there will be MANY brides in passing this day.  If I have to kindly elbow my way into a spot for pictures, I totally will! 🙂 They’re having their ceremony and reception in St. Clairsville, OH.  It will be a bit nostalgic because they are holding their reception where I had my own 8+ years ago.  I can’t wait to go back!  We did their engagement shoot on his family’s property in Barton, OH.

Erin and Dennis are getting married the end of June.  They’re holding their wedding in Farmington, PA at the Summit Inn.  My good friend Carrie will be shooting with me because she just happened to get married at the Summit Inn, as well.  So, she’s familiar and will let me in on all the good spots!  I’ve seen Erin’s Pinterest board.  I might be drooling at this wedding. 🙂

Hayley and Todd are getting married in August at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel in Maryland.  Not only is Hayley one of my dearest friends, I have another dear friend of mine driving up from Virginia to second shoot with me (Hi, Kat!).  It’s going to be amazing all the way around. A vacation…..good friends…..an amazing location!  Do you all remember Wedding Crashers the movie?  Do you remember that boat they’re on in the beginning?  Well, rumor has it the boat sits in the water at this hotel and if we’re really lucky, the boat will not only be in the background of some of these photos but we might….just might…be able to get ON the boat!!! EEEKKKK!!!

Haley and Andrew are getting married in September in Steubenville, OH.  These two are so sweet.   We did their engagement shoot in Oglebay, WV last fall.  I still can’t get over those back lit images of them in the woods.  WOW!  This is going to be a beautiful country club wedding!

Kari and David are getting married at the beginning of October.  Aside from the first weekend in June, this was, by far, one of the most requested weekends for 2017!! I think everyone wanted to get married this day!  Kari is doing a 1920’s themed wedding.  I’ve seen the details because she’s now a very good friend of mine.  I’d never met her prior to her hiring me for her wedding. Crazy, right?!  It’s amazing but they are both great friends of ours now, so you’re probably pretty used to seeing these two already!

Remember Amanda and Tom’s beautiful fall engagement session?  Still loving that foliage!  These two are also getting married in October.  They’re also holding their reception in St. Clairsville, OH where I had my own!!  I just can’t wait to go back!

OoO Chelsea and Kevan!  These two have the beautiful, fairy tale love story.  They’re having their wedding in Weirton, WV.  So far, they’re the last ones on my calendar for 2017.  They’re having their wedding in October too.  This will definitely be my last wedding in October, at least.  I’ve blocked off the end of October so I can focus on all of their galleries.  🙂  If you’re a November or December bride for 2017 though, get a hold of me!! I’d love to start the year off with a winter wedding and end with a winter wedding!

Again……CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL MY COUPLES!! I CAN’T WAIT!
