Hey Hey, everyone!

So, I have finally recovered from the wedding this past weekend!  I swear, Kari and I had wedding hangovers from that jammin’ party and we didn’t even drink a sip!! HA! Must be that osmosis thing and it passed on to us because the party was ROCKING!  Holy moly!  I’ve never seen a dance floor packed like that!  My husband even told me to keep it down when I got home because I was apparently still yelling like I was still at the reception! HA!

So, that brings me to this next couple I want you all to meet because they just happened to be guests at that wedding too AND a couple of mine!  Thanks to last weekend’s bride and groom (Hey, Emily and Aaron!), this sweet couple was able to find me.  I actually think the moms were in on the bit too (Hi, Kim and Barb!).  I met with both the moms this past winter for pre-booking consultations prior to actually locking them in!  I love how it all comes full circle and works out AND I get to see my couples from time to time which is super nice!

So, meet Kristen and Matt!! They were in town for the wedding so we did their engagement photos Friday night!  It’s going to be no secret, but I’ll tell you anyway! These two are WVU alumni and they are very proud of it!! There is a lot of history for the two of them at that university afterall!  You’ll see!

Meet Kristen and Matt!

They get an A++ on outfit selection because it all pulled together with this location at the WVU alumni hall!  Those white pillars made my heart and brain so happy!!!  They walked and snuggled like they’ve been doing it for years!  Check them out!

At this point, with all the shoulder sniffing and forehead sniffing going on early in our session (you former couples know what I’m talking about), I’m sure they were looking at Barb (Kristen’s mom) thinking…”You hired his girl?!…what are we doing here?!” HA!  See that top right-hand photo? In all honesty, they did everything I asked them to do and put up with my shenanigans! These photos prove it!  Look how great they look! 

My composition instructor would be proud (Hey, Kristy!).  I struggled in class to find shapes so I was super excited to find this half circle!  I had them dancing and dipping, of course!

Then, we jumped in the car and they gave me a tour of WVU’s campus.  I’ve only ever been there a few times so it was nice to look around!  They chose all the locations for me which was a super nice change of pace!

Apparently, if you went to WVU, you know this hall!! Unfortunately, they had fencing up and we couldn’t get real close…but we improvised! I have to laugh though because you can barely even see Kristen and Matt!! Look closely, they are there!

So, then we got really close!

I love when Matt kissed Kristen.  He always pushed her back a bit and it made for a dreamy photo!  I can’t wait to see their “first kiss” in May!

Then, we headed out and up to get the stadium in the background!! Check out the cuteness going on here! HUGE shout out to Barb and Whitney who held my reflector’s diffuser AND blocked the light for me!  I actually snapped a photo of it because they were working so HARD and it was so funny but I’ll save that for them!

Congrats to Kristen and Matt!! These two will be tying the knot next May!  I get to photograph their Wheeling, WV wedding and I can’t wait!  It’s going to be amazing!
