Pittsburgh Point State Park Spring Engagement

Happy Wednesday and NEW COUPLE ALERT!  I got to travel to Point State Park in Pittsburgh a few days ago to meet (in person) Jen and her fiance, Eric!

So, please give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and enjoy!

Jen and I “met” via a virtual consult prior to her booking.  She gave me a little bit of history with these two and we decided together we were a great match!  And the “matching” kept on happening.  I walked up to the fountain at Point State Park the other night thinking “Ok. Fountain is off…no leaves on the trees…how are we going to do this?”  And THEN…I saw these two walking toward me in outfits that just complimented the hues and tones of the landscape and it was pure perfection!  I had no worries after I saw them!

They had told me they’d never had professional photos together but followed direction well.  That was NO joke!  We, of course, had to get the city of Pittsburgh in the background!

They even (unintentionally) nailed the model shot!  This was just a test shot of mine and they didn’t know I was taking it…but…nailed it!

We had to have bridges in the city of bridges especially since they are living in Pittsburgh too!

Who would have thought we’d get some amazing warm sun when it’s been so chilly?  Jen ditched the jacket as a result for some amazing variety!

Let’s show off that ring and manicure, shall we?!

This session had all the light…all of it!  Front light, side light, harsh light, soft light…and all the ooey gooey light!  So, they danced in it!

…and if you know…you know.  We finished off the session with the “creepy kiss” and a medium silhouette!  We’re hoping for an amazing sunset at their wedding so we practiced this day!

Speaking of sunsets, it’s going to be a while before you see these two again!  They will be getting married…not in Pittsburgh…but at Oglebay NEXT October (2023).  I’m hoping for weather JUST like this…not too hot.  Not too cold…with all that amazing light!

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have an amazing day!
