Spring Engagement Photos | Haley + Chaz

Hello ALL!!!! I am feeling all the Hannah feelings right now! Spring is HERE! The greens are green again and wedding season is kicking off in less than ten days and I’ve also got a new couple for you all to meet! Haley and Chaz ventured out the other day to meet up with me for their engagement session….the weather was beautifully perfect for us and their photos are on the blog right now! ENJOY and give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Blogs are back!

If there’s one thing about this new generation of couples (yes…I’ve been doing this long enough now that we’re working our way into a whole new generation of couples and new friends), it’s that they are all so laid back…when it comes to just about everything. Haley and Chaz are the same and fit right in! They’re very “go with the flow” and “whatever you think is best…we trust you” and it’s such a breath of fresh air for a Type A person like me! It’s making me sit back and relax and enjoy all the small things and just soak up these sessions with my couples like never before!

They opted to start off with more casual outfits which matched the vibe of the first area I chose for their photos. The flowers this year just haven’t loved this back and worth weather pattern so there wasn’t much on the trees but have no fear because if there’s one thing about me, I like a good challenge and finding the little locations that will give us the most impact for photos is something I love to do!

It also helps when you have couples who photograph so well and so easily! Haley and Chaz also wanted to put a twist on their session to make it feel very “them” so they busted out the Nintendo Switch…x 2! LOVE! Fun fact, that blanket did not separate them from the wet ground! Thank goodness for an outfit change later! HA!

The green is SO green right now and it’s making my photographer color loving heart SO happy! I did give them copies in black and white for all of these but for now…and after this winter…I want to post allllllllll the color and spring flowers!

Spring is HERE! I think these photos prove it, yes?!

Marquis cut girls, unite!!! Haley’s ring is GORGEOUS! It deserved some attention!

Then, some more playful and fun photos!!! This one was Haley’s idea! I’m heading over to put some of these babies on my website!

She told me her colors were pink and green for their wedding so you know I HAD to get one and show off the ring!

Then, I found out they had other outfits so I pivoted on the spring greens and we went down to the lake! I don’t regret it! These are so classy and simple and I love it!

We worked around the ducks and the walkers and the fishermen!

Then, we finished off this session with some walking, complete with laughs and some candid moments!

…and then one last one…which turned out to be one off my favorites…ducks in the background and all!

In just a little over a year, these two will be tying the knot at Waterfront Hall at a very spring wedding. I’m envisioning the flowers being out in full force (typing it into reality) and me taking full advantage. Haley and Chaz are sweet and so chill and I can’t imagine their wedding being anything but these things plus more. I can NOT wait to see them as bride and groom and to see all their family and friends (some that I know-ish). It’s going to be PERFECT for the tulips and spring flowers! Thanks for reading everyone!
