Happy Wednesday, everyone! Freddy and Emiley’s very SPRING engagement photos are on the blog now! They traveled all the way “home” (Emiley’s home) from Texas for this session this past holiday weekend and they are a brand new couple on the blog! SO, please give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and ENJOY!

I first met with these two virtually a month or two ago when they decided to book me for their July wedding! July THIS YEAR! I didn’t know it at the time but I actually met Emiley in person when she was in another wedding of mine back in 2019. And like a crazy person, I’ve pulled that wedding from the archives and grabbed a photo and I’ll put that here at the end of the blog. Anyway, the first vibe and feeling I got when they popped up on my screen was “genuine”. They’re VERY genuine humans and so easy to talk to…absolutely nothing changed for this session either! They were so kind and easy to be around and…let’s face it…REALLY easy to photograph! So, I’m super excited, as you can imagine, for their wedding!

Because they’re out of towners, we had little to no wiggle room to move this session because of rain…and wouldn’t you know it, it called for rain. ALL DAY. I texted them prior because most people would panic about rain. Not these two! At one point, Freddy just said, “Hannah…we’re doing it. Rain or shine!” Alright, then…let’s do it! Rain doesn’t scare me anymore…because I’ve been forced to “figure it out” on rainy wedding days so I’ve got tricks! Lucky for us, the weather cooperated! If you look at the ground though, it actually did rain just a bit RIGHT as we arrived but otherwise stayed nice and clear for us!

Shoutout to Emiley’s mom (Hi, Kim!) and her sister (Hi, Bri) for tagging along just in case we needed umbrella holders or help. After this session, I have NO doubts we’re going to have an amazing wedding day – rain or shine. They stood back and took it all in…I honestly didn’t even know anyone else was there. They even helped carry things for me and I didn’t even ask! They didn’t have to do it but I still appreciated the effort and help! You just know when you’re with good people and I felt very much at “home” with everyone! THAT is going to make for some kind of amazing wedding day experiences AND photos! I also hear Emiley has another sister, HANNAH! From one Hannah to another…HELLO!

Beautiful rings are definitely a common theme for this year! Emiley’s was no different! I’ve always loved this little location too because it’s very simple but also has so much to offer at the same time!

They sure do take great photos too!

Freddy really liked this building and I always have too!!! I love to mix the galleries up so we headed over to this little location and kept on taking photos!

I hadn’t even noticed the jacket! I’m SO glad Bri and Kim mentioned it! It made for some cute little photos ANDDDDDDD I hope to see it at the wedding too! What you can’t see? It was actually pretty chilly!

As I always do, we finished off the session with a dip and they NAILED IT! We did some walking and then we finished with a wide angle photo of the whole location!

These two are getting married in a little less than two months!!! This is a highly anticipated wedding for me now! There’s going to be lots of familiar faces and now I can’t WAIT to meet Freddy’s family! Brace yourself for impact, ya’ll! If you haven’t gotten a hint from this blog, I’m a walking ball of energy and a human typo!!! Weddings are also my FAVORITE! I apologize in advance for my energy rolling into this wedding but it’s going to be GREAT! I just know it! So, please check back soon to see these two as husband and wife! It’ll be here SO SOON!
…and you all know I LOVE a throw back!!!!!! This was almost 7 years ago!!!!! I even double checked with Emiley to make sure it was her! HA!
We’re going to have to recreate some of these!!!! And Carmi (bride pictured below) now has three children! Time flies when you’re having fun!!! I never take for granted what an absolute compliment and blessing it is that I get to see past wedding party members again and they ask ME to be their own wedding photographer! I appreciate you all more than you will EVER know…the referrals…the people who trust me year after year…you name it! And that’s a wrap!
