Summer Oglebay Mansion Engagement Photos Wheeling WV

Good evening, everyone!! I’m working late in the office tonight because I’m out of here tomorrow for a Friday wedding at Oglebay and then a Saturday wedding at a new venue in Pennsylvania!  For this blog, I have a new couple for all of you to meet – Sami and Nick!  Give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and show them what this is all about!  Their engagement blog is live right now!

Nick and Sami have been such a pleasant and easy couple for me to work with!  We actually met very briefly at a wedding last year too.  I took a photo of the two of them and I came to find out at their engagement session that they don’t take a whole lot of photos together!  Cue all the Hannah goals!  Lucky for me, some of our first photos looked like this (below) and I knew we were going to be A OK!

We originally were going to do something else for their engagement session but in the last few weeks they decided to keep it simple and closer to home.  Oglebay it was and Sami requested photos in one of it’s most iconic locations – The Oglebay Mansion!  I knew when I took this photo below and Sami started to laugh that we were going to make great photography magic…and their wedding is SO close…this coming August!

Even the test shots looked great!

These two took directions with ease when it came to the posing prompts I gave them but they really shined when I added movement to the mix!

With that being said, we did a little dancing in a corner!

…and some more relaxed ones too!

Then, we went around to the front of the mansion to get those traditional shots AND some sitting shots.  I told them I never really “love” my sitting shots I take … and then I took these and squealed!  There’s just something about these two sitting and snuggling that I think we’ll have to do again…maybe in a theatre chair?  Hint Hint!

…and as we were leaving…Sami channeled her inner Snow White and made friends with this little one who was hanging out (peep the teeny tiny little baby deer in the shade of the tree).

Did you catch my hint earlier?  These two will be saying their “I Dos” at the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, WV in just about two months! AHHHH!!!  We’ve already planned for lots of photo time so make sure you check back to see them as a bride and groom!  Happy Thursday, everyone!!
