Elegant Mansion Engagement Photos

Hello! Happy Thursday!  NEW COUPLE ALERT!  It took us FOUR tries and dates to get this session done.  That’s right!  The weather was NOT on our side for this one but fourth time is a charm, I guess!

Meet Jackie and Drew!  They FINALLY got to have their elegant, mansion, engagement session a few days ago!  Enjoy!

I promised Jackie and Drew I’d do all the work.  All I needed them to do was stand there and smile!  Well, well, well…they sure did understand the assignment!

Goodness gracious they take an amazing photo.  I was kind of loving that Jackie wore a white dress and Drew wore a collared shirt.  It was a great preview for what we’re going to see next year…in a little less than a year!

They were pretty unsure and hesitant about trying this dip…ESPECIALLY for two people who absolutely NAILED it.  FIRST TRY!

Even the “bad” photos (i.e. outtakes) turned out memorable!

Jackie really wanted mansion photos.  It was in direct sun when we first came to this spot.  The stars aligned and within 15 minutes of us doing the photos above, a little shady spot appeared and we started taking these beauties!

I have VISIONS of them next year as the bride and groom!

They even played along with my ridiculous posing prompts…the “creepy kiss” FOR THE WIN!

They’re beautiful, aren’t there?! WAAAAAA!!! I can’t even wait!

Jackie is planning a classy, ballroom wedding at Oglebay.  I think we (yes…I said “we”) settled her color palette debate by me taking some past weddings, manipulating colors in photoshop, and showing some previews.  SO, I definitely wanted to get a classy ring shot just in case she decides to use any at the wedding.

…and as we finished up and were chatting on the way back to our vehicles, I found out she chose an absolute jam packed wedding dream team!  Cue ALL my excitement!  Those weddings are usually the BEST weddings and it was this session that made me REALLY realize how close 2022 wedding season is to being over and how fast 2023 wedding season will be here!  I’m excited!  Pandemic weddings are FINALLY starting to feel like a past story we can tell and it’s allowing me to BREATH again!  Thanks for reading…and Happy Thursday!
