Julie & Aaron’s Winter Engagement Photos

Hello, everyone! The LAST NEW COUPLE ALERT is here!! Julie and Aaron are the last engagement session for the year and aside from the end of year blogs (behind the scenes and outtakes)…they are the last blog to finish off the 2025 wedding season! AHHHHHH!!! It’s been a long year in some ways and such a FAST year in others! I can confidently tell you I am SO ready for 2026 and 2026 wedding season now! These couples are hitting it out of the ballpark! You’ll see!

So, please show these two what these blogs are all about and give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Their engagement photos are live on the blog right now! ENJOY!

Julie and Aaron met with me virtually before they decided to hire me and we all decided we were a good fit…SooooooOooOo that meant planning their engagement session next! She wanted to make sure she had plenty of time to get save the dates in the mail so after some back and forth and working out their work schedules against my schedule, we made this happen! She wanted to wear more neutral colors so that meant finding a location that had SOME color…green being one of the only colors available this time of year. After some location scouting, we settled on this location in Burgettstown, PA and the light….OOOooooo MY GOODNESS ME…the light!

This is truly what photographer dreams are made of! This right here – great, easy going couple AND beautiful light! I know Julie was worried we wouldn’t get any of that Hannah Barlow Photography pop with the white dress and jacket…I was confident before but once I saw this light, I knew we were going to get that feel…that glow…and MORE!

I mean! Just look at it! I always love this location because the ferns always hold over the winter and that green gives us just the little bit of color we need. I’m also a winter loving human and even got married in December so I thrive in this environment plus the cold doesn’t scare me (it was very chilly this day…you just can’t tell because they did a really good job not showing it).

How many times can I show off THIS RING?! Not enough! My goodness! I see a lot of rings…this one spoke to me and is going to get a LOT of attention on the wedding day! I already put notes on my wedding day list! HA!

But also…how many poses can we get in a short amount of time with Julie and Aaron? Never too many! Honest to goodness there wasn’t a pose I put them in that I didn’t like!

Then, we jumped in the car for a quick warm up and went to the docks where I knew there’d be some green pine trees in the background!

There is always a point in the session I see everyone get super comfortable and all that “camera in your face” energy just goes away! This was that point!

Off to a new location we go!

I never used to like sitting photos but session after session my couples change my mind!

This one…this one right here (below) may just be my very favorite of the whole session!

I had them do some more walking and snuggling on our way to our next location! Our fingers were frozen…my batteries were lagging…and they wanted to keep on going and I was ALL for it!

Yes, Yes, YES! More of this, please!

Julie opted to do some without her jacket! Then, she realized she may like the white dress more than the jacket!

So, after we did some back of the camera research and did a quick scroll, she wanted to go for it and we flew through the photos. This was just a sneak peek of wedding day energy! WE DID IT! It was fab…and I loved this session SO much!

…but before we leave…a few more shots of this GORGEOUS ring!

ANDDDDD That’s it! OOooo my goodness! We’re here!!! The end of the season is HERE! I can’t believe it and the next time you see these two they will be bride and groom. I am SO excited for 2026 wedding season. You just wait…it’s going to be GRAND!

Thanks for all your love and support reading these blogs! End of year blogs coming up NEXT!
