Angel & Kirk’s Engagement Session

I do believe the feel of fall and fall sessions are HERE! Angel and Kirk’s session this past Monday was the first session this year that my photographer eyes saw the “greens” and thought, “HUH! This is starting to look fall!” And that all works out perfectly because they get married in quite literally ONE MONTH!!! SO, let’s do this! Please give Angel and Kirk all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Their engagement session is live on the blog right now!

We scrambled to find a date that worked for all of us…and that date ended up being last Monday morning at 9 am..in the rain. You read it correctly! BUT…lucky for me, this couple didn’t let the rain bother them. I checked in with her about the weather and they agreed to do this RAIN OR SHINE! And you know what? I can’t say it enough…situations like this actually make for the BEST photos.

What do I mean by “that makes for the best photos?” Well, I mean when couples just fully trust me to do my job….regardless of the elements…and they smile and laugh and just go with the flow in their natural way…you always get the most genuine, sincere and great photos! Like these! It NEVER fails!

I REALLY enjoyed this location! The “dead stuff” (the fall weeds and grass) has started to arrive, as well, and it’s SOOOOOOO pretty!

We had to show off that ring, of course! It’s a solitary marquis cut diamond and it’s GORGEOUS!

They nailed the dip and I made sure to put the water in the background because that was the one thing they requested! A “water” location for engagement photos!

She is a BEAUT! I love a good classy ring!

We experimented with some more poses and talked a bit about the wedding!

If you look in the background, it WAS actively raining! But looking at these two, you’d NEVER know! See what I mean?! They look so comfortable and natural. They WERE also just very easy to photograph!

I told these two they’re going to have the most laid back wedding! I just KNOW it! It was chilly. It was morning. They drove a good way…it was raining and they just went with it! They’re getting married in EXACTLY one month from today! It’s going to be a fall Oglebay wedding! It’s my second to last wedding of the year and I sure hope you check back because I can feel it in my wedding photographer bones…it’s a sign…down in my wedding photographer soul…it’s going to be AMAZING! I just know it!
