Hello, all! We’re in full wedding swing here this month and I have a new venue for you all to see – it’s the Crescent Acres St. Clairsville, Ohio wedding venue to be exact! It was my first time here since it opened in May! Jocelyn and TJ planned a very “black tie” black and white wedding and this venue fit that vibe to the T! So, please give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love! Their wedding is live on the blog right now! ENJOY!
If you’re reading this, thank you! With Meta’s new link post restrictions, it means the world to me you’re here directly on my website enjoying and celebrating all my sweet couples! They deserve it!

Becca and I arrived not to the venue first…but where the men were getting ready! So, we got a few getting ready photos and some detail photos! I took SO many photos at this wedding and really had to sit down (which you KNOW is hard for me), slow down and think how I wanted to plan this blog. SO, let’s start off with the stunning bride finishing up with hair and makeup along side her bridal party crew and mom!

Jocelyn LOVES details. I love details! I usually go light on details in the blog BUTTTTTT I’ve got to show you all the things she had in a box and ready for me. AND this isn’t all the photos but a good handful of all the details and things! Let’s start with miscellaneous items, first!

THEN, all the more traditional things you’re used to seeing! I can’t remember the last time I had a TRUE black tie, black and white wedding! Crescent Acres in St. Clairsville, Ohio has very neutral floors which makes for a great “background” for detail shots! Add in the disco ball wall for some pizzaz and sparkle and we were WINNING all the way around in the detail department!

As we had pulled up to Crescent Acres in St. Clairsville, Ohio originally, Bria (Event Asthetics, Hey girl!) was finishing up with the flowers. Ashley (Plans for Perfection) was in full planner mode with her team and hair and makeup (separate names/businesses below) was ahead of schedule and almost complete! Jonathan (Finest Events) was also doing his thing! We were all in full wedding mode…but there was a second I got to sneak back outside and get a photo of the venue all by itself!

Getting ready moments were taken!

Jocelyn and TJ planned some shenanigans with their bridal party and also some first look moments!

Then, we got right down to business with the bridal party! Even as a color loving photographer, this was a GRAND change of pace and so beautiful to the eye and camera!

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this dress! It’s the sleeves! AND they came off!

Time was of the essence since guests were starting to arrive early so we got the women in hiding and then we brought the men out for their photos!

Then, it was time for the ceremony! We were ALL side eyeing those clouds but the weather held and these two got MARRIED! Crescent Acres in St. Clairsville, Ohio typically has their wedding ceremonies down by the pond but rain has not been kind to us this year SO this was the alternative location…and you know what…I kind of love it! I think the black railing compliments the vibe of the wedding more than a lake would…what do you think?! Lake screams more barn? This creams more black tie? I don’t know! Help me out! I’m not just blowing smoke here…I really think I like this location more!

TJ gave us a little “let’s do this”!

The new Mr. & Mrs. Scott, everyone! It was a sweet and short ceremony and rain clouds aside…it made for the most beautiful backdrop!

After that, we got right down to family formals…and then I felt a drop…and another drop…and then the sky literally opened up! So, we made a run for it to the venue and finished family formals in there. Lucky for us, it was one tiny cloud (I was checking the radar like a crazy person) so we were able to go back out for bridal party photos!

I was also doing what I call “drive bys” throughout the day to catch reception details as they were being completed!

Then, we got down to my favorite part of the day…bride and groom couple portraits!

We had to get real creative because of the rain and wetness! There wasn’t a whole lot of places we could go but I KNEW I wanted Crescent Acres in the background given the black and white theme! Becca was nailing the second angles too! Team work makes the dream work!

Black and white photos for a black and white wedding were a MUST!

I could go on and on and onnnnnnnnn in this blog but where do I stop?!

Here, I gotta stop here because… it was time to partttyyyyyyyyyyy. We were with Jonathan of Finest Events! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen him! He never disappoints AND his uplighting is THE BEST! He adds all the color to my photos!

The couple opted to “dance on a cloud”. Shoutout to Becca for going up top and getting what ended up being most of my favorite angles!

The couple cut their FUNFETTI cake! How fun!

Jocelyn asked for a group photo! Crescent acres has a nice area I’m able to go up and get above!

THEN, the fun began! That dance floor was PACKED all night long! AND…look at that uplighting! Everyone was very “camera aware” which is unusual but a nice surprise! It made for some really REALLY fun photos on the dance floor!

…and one more thing before we took off! A SPARKLER SEND OFF!

Jocelyn, you were a STUNNING bride! You and TJ left no detail untouched…unthought of (is that proper grammar?)! Thanks for taking me to Crescent Acres in St. Clairsville, Ohio and being my first couple there! I sure hope your blog takes off! It deserves it! The wedding was GORGEOUS! You packed your vendor team and planned a beautifully stunning wedding! WELL DONE!
AND GUESS WHAT…I get to see these two here in less than two weeks again at another wedding! It’s going to be a reunion! Thanks for reading, everyone! Have a GREAT rest of your week!
