Maggie & Brad’s Engagement Session

Happy Thursday! It’s a NEW COUPLE ALERT! Maggie and Brad’s engagement session is on the blog right now! So, you know what to do! Please give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and ENJOY!

These two tell me they met on Hinge a few years ago! They dated for about a year before moving in together and Brad proposed this past January! Online dating stories are some of my favorites and my couples tend to have the best ones!

We met up for this session in Washington, PA which was a great middle point for all of us! Because of their schedules, we decided on this Saturday I had available and unbeknownst to us, there was going to be a festival going on down the road. A few drive arounds and long walks got us all to this first location! Lucky for us, the festival was down the street and our actual photo location was wide open and available (after a homecoming crowd departed, of course…tis Saturday weddings and sessions)!

This ring was unique and gorgeous! I can’t wait to photograph it next year with their wedding invitation! These two tell me they are very much cat people…and homebodies in some ways…and Brad planned the most perfect at home proposal THAT included their cats! As a big cat lover and cat mom myself, I APPROVE and love this SO much!

It was fairly windy this day too so I used these buildings to my advantage to block the wind so Maggie’s curly hair stayed in place!

Then, we moved on to another location! I had to think on my feet again…because…birthday party. There was a birthday party going on in the shelter we had originally planned to use! Have no fear…you know I love a good challenge and finding a good random location. This one had the BEST light! I told them this was our first trust exercise! HA!

I’m SO excited that Brad decided to change his shirt! I didn’t even know he had a change of clothes and it all worked out! He mentioned it when we got to this location and he was right…the green would have blended! The pop of blue makes these photos what they are!

Then, we ended on a good lift photo! I mean, what better way to end a session!? They nailed it!

These two are planning a hotel ceremony on Morgantown. I hear the venue even has a rooftop! AHHHH!!!!!! I absolutely am obsessed with how Maggie described their future wedding – “decent sized guest list, whimsical with a little bit of structure”! GIRL! Sign me up! (I’m already booked to be there!) BUT I’m so pumped to see how this all comes together!

Check back next year (August) and they’ll be a bride and a groom on this blog!
