Hello, everyone! Julie and Aaron’s wedding is on the blog RIGHT NOW! Their wedding was yet another big, classy affair IN a church (which I’m so excited about) and then they followed that up with a big reception at another one of my favorite places – Oglebay! So, please give this lovely couple ALL your Hannah Barlow Photography love. Their wedding is on the blog right now! They’re the newest married couple on my blog! ENJOY!

I met up with Lacey at Oglebay to get my bearings straight on reception set up. I knew we’d be flying in there later in the day so I wanted to see the layout so I was prepared when I photographed it later! I often do this…I call it my “homework”. I like to have a grand plan! So, after that we hopped in the car and drove to Julie’s parents house where she was finishing hair and makeup!

While the ladies were getting touch ups, we got right down to details! I’m OBSESSED with Julie’s ring!

While we were doing that, we were also catching all those candid moments!

I knew Julie was worried about the timeline but I kept assuring her…no wedding day runs 100% on time and we WOULD catch it up! You know I love a good timeline and worry but…these moments with her mom were SO important! And we weren’t going to miss them!

Then, we grabbed her dad and went outside for their first look moments!

THEN, it was time for the bridesmaids! I know some of them questioned my sanity and asked “how are you not going to get cars in the photos!” It’s true! We’re in their driveway and the cars are RIGHT beside us! I assured them…we’ve got tricks and angles! And here we go! Lacey and I’s angles of the bridesmaid first look!

One more photo to show off their excitement!

Then, we got some bridal portraits! I KNEW Julie would be a beautiful bride!

Then, we made our way to the church and Aaron got his photos with the guys!

We had moments with Julie’s mom and dad so now it was time for Aaron’s parents!

I know Julie loves candid moments and this was one of my favorites so far in the day! Aaron’s brother helped his dad get the video and the extra photos! It was such a cute moment!

I LOVED how classy and dramatic these groom “getting ready” photos turned out!

…and then I saw this window and KNEW I needed some here too! AND right before the ceremony!

Sometimes the wedding Gods really show up and the church decides to update the carpet right before this wedding AND the new color matches the entire color palette of the wedding!

Here comes the bride! I LOVE a good, traditional ceremony!

This made me laugh. Lacey and I have a system…and it’s a well oiled, we don’t even need to plan ahead of time…system. Well, Julie had sent me a Pinterest board and on that board…there was a photo from above. We studied it right before the ceremony. I put Lacey on that job. So, she flew up to the top after the first kiss and then I realized….she wasn’t over on the side like she usually is. I’m cracking up she actually zoomed from the top and still got it. I know she was thinking “that’s usually my photo!”. But also…I ran over there and got it! Check and CHECK!

The love and joy and excitement in these moments below are some of my favorites! It’s like Julie’s looking right at me (she’s isn’t…but didn’t it make for an amazing photos?!)

I love a good side by side of my angles…and Lacey’s angles. I like Lacey’s better! I can admit it! Going to the loft was SUCH a great idea!

It’s a repeat of above…but black and white is stunninggggggg!!! I actually made their whole ceremony color AND black and white! Why not?! I couldn’t pick…and it’s not fair to pick when they’re so good!

After family formals, we did some more dramatic indoor photos!

Then, we went outside on our way to the party bus and snapped some! I tried my best to pack this wedding gallery and it ended up being one my biggest from last month!

Off to Oglebay we went! We started at this location!

These two are such a sweet, classy couple! AND so easy to photograph!

More back and whites! It was impossible for me to choose at this wedding! I kept going back and forth on what to blog and decided to give you a good mix of both!

Julie and her maid of honor requested this one! I’m giggling! They were having so much fun at this point!

Full bridal party!!! Black dresses have been so popular lately!

Then, we had some time for more bride and groom formals and these are definitely my favorites!

Then, the sun showed up in the most glorious way!

The light does NOT get better than this!

At this point, we were just having fun! All the “hard” stuff was over and this was just for memory’s sake!

…a walk to the party bus makes for some great photos! I also had my phone to my ear calling the planner to let her know we were on the way! HA! Multitasking – wedding edition!

Glessner is always looking GRAND! How could it not?!

DJ Brian Oliver welcomed the couple. They celebrated for a moment with their bridal party and then went right into their first dance!

The speeches were great at this wedding! I don’t usually share them…but the photos turned out so good! Shoutout to DJ Brian Oliver for checking with me first to make sure this set up worked AND so I could be prepared to have my lights in the proper place!

EVEN CAKE CUTTING WAS GREAT! I think ONLY Julie and Aaron could make cake eating look good. I never…and I mean NEVER…like these photos. Their cake photos? Well, so good I’m sharing! Julieeeeeeeeee…you even smiled! Usually it’s just mouth open…eating cake. Not with these two!

…and then…once that dance floor opened up. It was PACKED!!!

And that’s a wrap on September weddings! I can’t believe it! We’re on the home stretch! Julie and Aaron did a December, winter engagement session (HERE). Then, an early fall wedding. I got to spend lots of seasons with these two from taking engagement photos to planning…to wedding photos! It’s been a good ride with these two.
Julie and Aaron, I hope this wedding was everything they wanted and more! Thanks for reading, everyone! Have a GREAT day!
