Meet Erinn and Andrew! Erinn hired me to photograph her wedding next May and we’ve been talking about her engagement session for a long time. Originally, we were going to do these photographs inside PNC park but we had to reschedule and change plans when Erinn’s schedule conflicted with the Friday date she had booked at the baseball field. So, we planned and planned to first do beautiful pictures on the Clemente bridge looking out at PNC park followed by a whole different feel at Penn station.
Well, the weather looked great and I even texted Erinn in the morning telling her how excited I was that it was going to be such a beautiful day. Wrong…..I’ll never send that kind of text again! I totally jinxed myself. We were scheduled to meet at 5 pm. I double checked the weather before I got out of my car because the sky was looking a little gloomy and grey. To my surprise and relief, the forecast still said cloudy with only 10% chance of rain. YAY! Unfortunately, these two had trouble getting in the city and by the time they arrived, it was raining. Cue Hannah panic attack!! It was only a drizzle though so we headed to the bridge anyway. I thought I could totally sneak some in….and then it poured. No kidding. As soon as we set foot on the bridge, it poured! Like, raining cats and dogs! We had to take cover under the bridge. We waited and then I decided to take some more industrial, grungy pictures until we could get out. I think they really turned out great. These two smiled through it all!!!! I kept telling her, “At least this isn’t your wedding day!”
Enjoy!
Then, the rain finally let up and we got the pictures we needed! So cute! These are going to be used for their Save the Dates!
Then, we moved on to Penn station!!! I was totally loving this location AND the awesome outfits she styled for this part of the session!!!
As always, there was some dancing!
….and a dip, of course!
Congrats to the two of you!!! See you again in May!!!!
