Happy Tasty Tuesday, everyone!
So, I call these “gourmet” burgers because, let’s face it, I live in W.V. For the most part, we don’t have really fancy restaurants with fancy foods on the menu. Grilling some plain old hamburger and slapping it on a bun is sometimes the most you’ll get. So, a couple years ago, my husband and I started experimenting. He’s seriously a grilling master (I’m not just saying that!)! So, in the summer (and even in the winter if it’s above 20 degrees) we grill for dinner. We wanted to spice things up. I tried multiple online recipes and while they were good, they were sometimes just too much – too much taste or too much work. I knew there had to be an easy recipe out there. I got to thinking….many of my best and most requested recipes from family and friends are easy ones with very few ingredients. So, one night I concocted this and the rest is history!
Enjoy!
It’s yummy and easy!
Ingredients
1-2 lbs. 80% hamburger
Salt/Pepper to taste
Jarred Minced Garlic
Worcestershire Sauce
Buns
Optional Goodies – lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, jalapenos, bacon (cooked), etc.
You’ll learn quickly after reading my food blogs…..I don’t measure ingredients…hardly ever! So, let’s get started and good luck! Dump the burger in a bowl. Sprinkle some salt and pepper (no measuring…SORRY!). Add about 1 tsp. minced garlic and one shake of Worcestershire sauce. Mix WELL with hands…..Yep! Do it! Mix it with your hands and vegetarians turn away! I’ll have some better recipes for you in weeks to come!
After you have the burger mixed well, form into patties and grill!!! My husband only flips them once! Seriously, he’s a grill master!
Then, slap that puppy on a bun and add your favorite ingredients. I only add extra sharp cheddar and then dip in ketchup! YUM!
Because it’s so easy to be too busy and forget about the best part of the meal, I wanted to show you all what we had for dessert! Strawberry Shortcake!! The cheater’s version!! I used a box of Bisquick and made the shortcake per their directions. Then, I just sliced up some strawberries, added some sugar, and topped with whipped cream!! Easy dessert….it’s not time consuming!
