Because a Little Ridiculousness Goes a Long Way….

Meet Bobby Delroy Bumpkins (Cooter) and Dale.  A.K.A., Scott and Luke respectively.  To be honest, I still don’t know how all this started.  I asked before this shoot and did get an explanation.  Something about alternate personalities and something, something, something.  It also had a lot to do with Cross Creek the Band (I believe).  Honestly?  I still don’t know much about all of this except it’s a whole lot of ridiculousness, fun, and laughter.  You can check out their Facebook page here.  The videos are my favorite!  I’m just glad I didn’t have to star in one of the videos for this shoot.  I’ll be honest – It was a concern as I was driving over looking like a very tired mom (hair a hot mess, makeup smeared off…you know).  As a result, I really didn’t want to end up the star in the their most recent episode.  So, thanks guys!  Although, I’m sure my moment of fame will come soon enough.  If I can catch them on camera, it’s only fair that they catch me on video, right?  So, here we go!

This is only the most amazing rope swing I’ve ever seen!  I don’t think he was quite expecting to go so high though.  We weigh a little more than we used to as children….makes for a higher and faster ride!  We had to do a couple of takes to get these.

Not sure Dale was feeling the rope swing but I really wanted him to get some air.  Here’s his version of “air” time. HA!

I had to catch them in their hangout spot!

I can’t stop laughing over these next pictures.  I feel like these would be a really good advertisement for a “Tobacco is Bad” campaign or a “Don’t Grow Up to Look Like This Guy” ad. HA!  Honestly?  If I didn’t know him, I’d run the other way if I met him in a dark alley! He’s a really nice guy though…I promise!  I’ve known him for years! (Scott, of course, not this guy with long hair named Cooter!)

Ok, so I can’t exactly take credit for the inspiration for these next photos.  These are what Masika May likes to call “dudeoir” photos.  Get it?  Boudoir but with dudes!  She is a photographer in BC and does some amazing work.  At first, I couldn’t wrap my brain around having men pose suggestively for photos….until I saw her work!  It’s so real and so raw and so great!  I just love it!  You really need to check out her work here.  She even does calendars!!

HAHA!  That eyeball!  Some might be seeing it in their nightmares!

Dale cut his pants off just for me and for this shoot, BUT we needed to see more leg.  Seriously, you can’t have dudeoir photography without some serious leg!  *Note – Don’t try this at home.  Don’t ever let a friend cut your pants with a knife while you’re still wearing them or while you hold a beer or EVER.  Nonetheless, I obviously just stood back and let this all happen….while taking pictures, of course!  They’ve done scarier things I can assure you!

Hey, ladies!  He’s single!  He also does some pretty good posing if I do say so myself!

I hope you all enjoyed and at least got a smile out of this blog post!  Camera shake was a serious concern….I laughed A LOT during this shoot!  Thanks guys for spicing up my page West Virginia style!
