Allison & Todd’s Engagement Session

Allison and Todd are getting married!  These two probably look familiar to you.  I’ve photographed their family many times and I just love working with them!  They’re so easy to be around and they always just let me be my bossy self in order to get the best images possible! 🙂  I CAN’T WAIT for their wedding in October.  They’re actually getting married in Florida but are coming home to have their reception with family and friends in Pittsburgh, PA.  It’s going to be a great day!

Since their wedding photos are going to have a more urban/city feel to them, they wanted to do a little more country for the engagement side of things.  That’s NOT a problem here in West Virginia, of course.  So, I picked one of my favorite places – Brooke Hills Park in Wellsburg, WV!

We were fighting the light at this point.  It’s a long story, and I’m going to tell you all about it!  I totally forgot my phone at my house.  Well, Allison texted me to tell me she was going to be a little late.  I didn’t get that message, of course.  When they didn’t show up, I got really worried!  I’ve worked with them enough to know that they ALWAYS show up on time and in the right place.  So, in a panic, I asked a guy by the lake if I could use his phone.  Believe it or not…he said “no”! AHHHHH!  Cue Hannah panic (my former nurse co-workers know exactly what I’m talking about! HA!).  So, I hurried up and ran home to get my phone.  I’m only about 3 minutes from this park, and I was worried we had a miscommunication.  Of course, after I left, they made it.  So, now I was late!  Jeesh!  So unlike me!!  Glad I know them and they forgave me. 🙂  We ended up with this pretty sky though…so I think it was meant to be!
