Oglebay Spring Engagement Photos

Oglebay Spring Engagement Photos

Hello! Hello!  I told you I have a lot of engagement photos to show you this week!! So, here’s another one!  We hit Oglebay again last week and I got to photograph Amanda and Tony this time!  Say “Hello” to this happy couple and give them a great, big Hannah Barlow Photography welcome!  This was probably my most laid back shoot this year!  It just keeps getting better and better!  Enjoy!

Amanda and Tony, everyone!

My communication with Amanda over the past couple of months has been just like this engagement session.  Easy.  She’s seemed totally laid back up to this point and seems very “go with the flow” which I love, of course!  Maybe I’m totally wrong…if so…she’s really good at hiding it! HA!  She’s also extremely sweet and kind…both via email and when I finally got to meet her in person!  I hadn’t met Tony yet.  All I knew was that his real name is Anthony but he goes by “Tony” and I only know that because I asked what they’d like on their wedding USB.  Turns out…Tony and I have a lot in common through mutual friends and we chatted about it the whole time while we walked around Oglebay.  We probably drove Amanda nuts! HA!  Girls are easy, ya know…I hardly worry about them.  The guys?  Sometimes it’s hard to get them to warm up…Tony was NOT that guy, however!  Wedding goodness coming in August for these two!! I just know it! AHHHH!

Engagement

I’ll tell ya a little secret about Amanda.  She knows what’s she’s doing…because she second shoots/assists another photographer!  That photographer (Jordan of Jordan Marie Photos) also helped her find me (we’ve never met so I take it as a HUGE compliment that she had her friend pick me).  Thanks, girl!  As a result, they were easy to pose.  Getting set up with my camera and what not wasn’t weird.  We just kept chatting.  She knew the deal and Tony…as I said…is super easy to get along with!  They’re having a rustic themed wedding in Pennsylvania this summer so I thought these rustic like stones were GREAT for these engagement photos!

Amanda tells me her and Tony “knew” each other in high school through their mutual best friends but didn’t start dating at that point.  It was about 4 years later.  Before she went off to college, she was working at McDonalds when Tony came in one day.  They chatted for a few minutes and then he started coming back frequently for coffee…nope…not really.  He was stopping by just to see her!  They were together for two and a half years before they were engaged!

I got the feeling from this session that Tony doesn’t mess around and takes a task seriously.  Whatever I needed them to do, they did.  When I’d prompt him…it would happen!  Of course, we just kept chatting in between all this which I love!  He also didn’t mess around asking this fine lady to marry him.  In December, he waited for Amanda to get home from work (in December…in the cold, mind you).  She said this isn’t usual for him to wait for her…so it probably didn’t come as a surprise (or maybe it did) when he got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him!

Dancing in Oglebay by these fine stones.  What more could you ask for?!

Engagement

Seriously, I’m such a sucker for gates and stone pillars!  I’m DRAWN to them!  I do believe Tony voted for this location when I gave them all their options!

Of course, when you’re in Oglebay, you HAVE to have some flower photos!  Her wedding colors are wine and sunflowers.  GET OUT!  O-M-G!  I’ve got my praise hands up.  I’ve photographed a lot of red, wine, and burgundy weddings…this one won’t be like those.  I just know it!! I can’t even stand it!  I KNOW Kari’s going to love it too!  We loved the sunflower wedding we did last year too!

Engagement

Amanda says she loves photos, of course.  She said Tony does it because she’s want him too…but I don’t know.  This hill was killing his back.  I didn’t know it because he didn’t tell me until after…and that’s my point.  He did this because I suggested it and Amanda thought it was a good idea!  And look how close and cuddly they got!  These are DEFINITELY some of my very favorites!

Engagement

Every girl should have a close up of her bling!  You’re going to get more of it here at the end too!

Engagement

See!  It’s beautiful, right?!  We also incorporated her other ring because they are both significant!

Well, that’s a wrap on another amazing, Oglebay, engagement session with lots and lots of photos!  These two will be back on the blog in no time!  As I mentioned before, they’ll be tying the knot in Pennsylvania with a wine and sunflower theme…and a rustic twist!  I’m already antsy to get my hands on those details! AHHHH!  Their wedding will be a breeze…I just know it!  Check back soon!  It’ll be here before we know it!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
