Warm, Spring Engagement Session

Happy Friday!  I’ve got another engagement session for you all!! Weeee! So excited to be back out again!  It feels SOOOO good!  Molly and Mike are up next!! They’ll be getting married right around this time next year!!  We’ll be back at Armstrong farms and I’m so excited to go there again! Sam called that wedding already!  She got married at their other barn and she wants to go back, of course!  It’ll be great!! So, everyone meet Molly and Mike and give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love!

Aren’t they adorable?! They met in Erie, PA and started dating just a month after they met!

These two are just so sweet! I got to meet Mike, Molly, and her mom back in January when they came to the studio for a pre -booking consultation!  There’s a hilarious story about that meeting too!  Before they had arrived, my dad had stopped to say “Hi” when he saw my car parked at the studio.  Remember, he was the one who remodeled the studio for me!  I was sitting there at my desk and he was inspecting one of the walls.  He pointed out how much the texture bothered him.  The people who owned the building before me did a very interesting job texturing these walls.  I told him, “No one but you is going to even notice that.  Stop letting it bother you!”  So, he took off when Mike, Molly and her mom pulled into the parking lot.  Well, Mike’s a contractor too.  I kid you not, he wasn’t in the building 30 seconds and he took a look at the texture and ran his hand down it…in the EXACT spot my dad had pointed out!  I busted out laughing and we had a great chuckle over it after I told him the story!  He was also extremely helpful and his attention to detail extended to photo time too!!  Because of social distancing, I cant’ do my usual hair fixing so I appreciated the assist!

Mike is a lot like me and loves to talk so we chatted the whole time!! Molly is more quiet and it makes me giggle because that’s exactly how my husband and I are…except he is the quiet one!  It makes for a great relationship, I tell ya!  Opposites DO attract!  We had so much fun at this session and Mike had all kinds of suggestions and was a star!  I told him he earned himself lots and lots of wedding photos!  Molly absolutely nailed this shot (below).

It was the first warm day we’ve had it a while and it was SO nice to be out and shooting again!

You all know I LOVE some pops of color.  The fountain was Mike and Molly’s idea and these ended up being some of my favorites!  I loooove all the colors!

Her ring is just SO pretty!  Mike “tricked” Molly into thinking she was just going to take photos with her friends when he dropped down on one knee and offered her this beauty!  Clever guy!

Virus times call for the quintessential COVID-19 photos, right?!  We’re ending ALL the sessions like this lately!

That’s it!! That’s a wrap on this one!  These two are so fun and goofy!! We had a great time!  I’m SO excited for their barn wedding next year!  Molly tells me it’ll be romantic and fun!  Congrats to the future Smalls!  You’ll see them again next May!
