April Showers Wheeling Engagement | Olivia + Luke

NEW COUPLE ALERT! Olivia and Luke braved the drizzle last week (I can’t even say they “braved” it…they embraced it in the BEST way)! April showers are supposed to bring may flowers, right?! AND hopefully some warm, dry weather for their wedding in October! So, you know what to do! Give them all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and welcome and ENJOY! We knew it might rain. We were flexible because…tis the season. I watched this forecast ALL day…only for the radar to take a HARD turn and decide to blanket us in rain clouds about one hour before this session. I had back up plans in my mind but Olivia was totally chill about it. Most of my couples are chill…but these two were chill on a whole new level and I am HERE for it. She wanted flowers and wheeling delivered…drizzle and all! So, we started out safe with some umbrella shots!

I mean…I’m shocked you can’t actually see the rain too much!

Then, they were totally ok with getting wet so we used this little area to embrace the blossoms!

They take a FAB…and I mean FABULOUS photo, yes?!

Then, we drove over to another one of my favorite spots that had some flowering trees. This is when Luke dropped, “You know you did my brother’s wedding years ago, right?” Ummmmmm…EXCUSE ME…what?! THEN, it hit me. His last name is Lohan and I did Bailee and Jacob Lohan’s wedding back in 2019 (pre-COVID times…which is how I rate all my weddings now – before or after COVID). I looked at his face and realized…YES! I had photographed him before! Olivia never mentioned it which is totally funny!

The sandstone on this wall and their outfits was a whole vibe! I love that her hair pops so well in these photos too because you ALL know I LOVE color in my photos and life!

Walking and snuggling is a must at all sessions!! Foot placement 10/10!

Her ring is GORGEOUS!

Every session has a point where everyone is comfortable and we just laugh and have a good time! This was it…the “creepy kiss” got them and they broke character! I love it!

…and a PERFECTLY executed dip sealed the deal for this session! First try too! The wedding is going to be AMAZING!

You’ll see these two again in mid October for their fall wedding! It’s going to have greenery and sounds like it’s going to be stunning! I did request we NOT do a repeat of the Lohan wedding of 2019 with a tight daylight savings timeline (Looking at you Bailee and Jacob and your mid November wedding…HA!). That was a whole whirlwind event racing the setting sun and I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever moved to date…but honestly…It’ll be A OK no matter what! I can’t WAIT to see everyone again and meet Olivia’s family!!! I always have a “feeling” and a “vibe” and it’s ALL good coming out of this engagement session!
