Moundsville, WV Engagement Photos in August

Happy Rainy Wednesday!  NEW COUPLE ALERT!  Caroline and Nate finally got to have their engagement photos a few nights ago.  The rain has NOT been on our side this summer, I tell ya!  Finally, it’s their turn to shine!  She may just look familiar to you too and I’ll tell you why here in a few minutes (if you haven’t already figured it out)…but for now…give these two all your Hannah Barlow Photography love!  Enjoy!

I met Caroline YEARS ago…I do believe 2017 to be exact (but I’d have to look).  She came to another engagement session of mine when it was her sister (Hey, Maddie!) who was getting married.  I told her at this session a few nights ago it’d be easy for her because she’s not only been a bridesmaid in a wedding of mine…but she also has helped and seen a live engagement session!  Nate was a total trooper too since us gals already knew each other and he was the “new” one in front of the camera!  Also, can we just appreciate that Caroline read and followed the engagement session prep info. I give to all my couples?  That’s right!   Look at her shirt popping RIGHT off that background! WOOOO!

So, these two met years ago on a hazmat scene.  They both run on their local fire departments.  After one night back in 2017, Nate messaged Caroline complimenting her on a job well done and then they remained friends.  It wasn’t until 2019 that Nate didn’t even ask…just made it facebook official that he “had a girlfriend” and that was that!  Then, they were supposed to go to a Pirates game in Pittsburgh that ended up being rained out.  Then, they spent the weekend at Seneca Lake…and it was also wet and misty.  I’m seeing a trend here that I really don’t like…HA!  Well, Nate took her for a walk and after skipping rocks for a while he found the “perfect one”…which just happened to be A ROCK.  Please see the beautiful diamond ring below for reference.  Yep!  He proposed and she, of course, said “YES”!

This is the point in every session where the couple get comfy and cozy!  See what I mean?!

Then, we ended on a high note and did some walking and snuggling!

Rain when they got engagement.  Rain when we planned their engagement session.  It better NOT rain on their wedding day! GAH!  We shall see!  These two are planning their 2021 Sept. wedding expecting to have a small ceremony with immediate family and then a bigger reception surrounded by their extended family and close friends.  She’s going for a country/modern look….with succulents! EEKKK!! I already know who is going to be asking to shoot this wedding with me (looking at you, Kari…or Sam…OooO probably all of them)!

Also, I found this gem (below) from Caroline’s sister’s engagement session four years ago! HA!  She had come to help with their fur baby, Arson!  She called herself the dog handler!  I still appreciate all her help that day and it’s crazy how it comes FULL circle!

Also, do you remember this photo?!  Yep…that’s TWO sets of twins…all sisters.  I remember taking this and thinking “OOo man.  They’re beautiful.  I hope I get to see them again one day!”  AND here we are! AHHH!! Also, I’m so excited to see their parents again.  Caroline’s mom (Hi, Sharon!) did the cutest first look with their dad.  I think it even ended up being her profile photo for a while.  And she’s also VERY particular in the order of her girls (birth order) for photos…I remember!  I got this next year!

Alright!  That’s it!  That’s a wrap!  Over and over and over again, these couples keep showing me that 2022 is going to be just amazing.  I have so much history with so many of these couples! AHHH!! The blog possibilities are going to be off the way crazy perfect!  I hope you’re all ready!  Thanks for reading, everyone!  Have a GREAT day (stay dry)!
