Lakeside Fall Engagement Photos in Burgettstown, PA

NEW COUPLE ALERT!

Sydney and Brad’s engagement session is on the blog right now.  We shot these fall, lakeside photos in Burgettstown, PA just two days ago.  I kept telling them it’d probably be my last truly “fall” engagement photo shoot for the year.  I foresee the wind taking all those leaves to the ground but we will see! We definitely enjoyed the last of fall this day…not too windy…and not too cold!

So, give this couple all your Hannah Barlow Photography love and show them what this engagement blog stuff is all about!

If you’re new here, WELCOME and Enjoy!

I think Sydney and I started planning this session back in June and life took over and then we came back together in October to finish out the planning, pick a date, and get this thing done!  Sydney trusted me when I told her November would actually be more “fall” than October.  Most couples don’t believe me…heck, Sydney probably didn’t either.  I always have to show photos from past years and this session will definitely be another one I’ll show for years to come to prove it.  She almost scrapped this session all together but I talked her into going for it (and Brad helped too). I’m SO glad she went for it…because just LOOK!

They take a great photo.  USUALLY, I’m not a fan of the outfit colors matching the background but there is just enough contrast to make the choice pretty dang perfect.  Right?!  I was hiding in the weeds and that reflection just got me!

Don’t let them fool you.  There were great outtakes too when I was giving posing prompts!  I do believe I said, “Get close and love one another!”

Then, they did an outfit change and we moved away from the lake and foliage to do something a little different.  I do love that dead stuff.  You Hannah Barlow Photography fans know it! I mean, it just makes for a beautiful photo, right?

Brad’s a hunter.  So, it’s the ultimate compliment that he gave up a prime hunting night for these photos for me and Sydney.  As a hunter’s wife, I know it is NOT an easy thing to ask of these men.  He did absolutely everything I asked PLUS he coached Sydney here and there.  We had some good laughs over that!

Dead stuff is beautiful stuff!  These photos are some more I’ll probably be showing people in the future when I say “dead stuff” and they start to doubt me.  “You’re just going to have to trust me on this…SEEEE!”  Then, I’ll send this photo!

Back to the fall foliage we go!

It took quite the coaching to get Sydney to do this one!  Brad was doing all the work and she was hanging her arms to the side and we were chuckling the whole time.  Nailed it!  THIS TIME…

…but behind the scenes…we rode the struggle bus! HA!

More dead stuff and weeds and this couple makes for some great photographs, right?!

Then, we rounded out this session with some simple ring shots.

Sydney and Brad are planning a wedding next year.  Some of the details are still up in the air (like theme and colors…looking RIGHT at you Sydney) so her and I have gone back and forth a bit to figure out what she needs to get done and what she can check off the list.  You know me, I’m happy to help with ANYTHING weddings.  Yep! Let’s do this! 2022 wedding season is going to be here so so so soon!  Like…in four weddings soon! WHATTTTT?! Craziness!  Thanks for reading and have a GREAT weekend!
