The Timmerman’s Oglebay Wedding

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I have Sarah and Jake on the blog for their BEAUTIFUL, summer, Oglebay wedding!  So, sit back, relax, and enjoy it!  The weather really could NOT have been more perfect and I have the photos to prove it! Enjoy!

Thanks to this couple and Nancy (Functions Pittsburgh), I knew all the details going into this wedding and I was as ready as I could ever be!  I’d talked to all the vendors and then watched the forecast.  It was originally going to be very hot (90’s) but then somehow the weather turned and it ended up being the most perfect weather day for a summer wedding.  We haven’t had a day like this in a long long long time!  First things first though, I stopped at Oglebay’s Pine Room to get a feel for the layout for the reception, per the usual, and to snap a few photos!

Then, I headed on over to find the bridal party (but not before grabbing Emily).  We stopped and said “hello” to some of the men at the guy’s cabin.  Jake wasn’t due to arrive yet so we walked across the road to the cabin where the ladies were getting ready with Roth & Rose Styling Studio.  One of the very first “portraits” I took of the day was of Sarah and Jake’s dear, fur puppy, Enzo.  I should have known right then and there that he would be front and center and steal the show but more on that later!  For now, let’s feast our eyes on this beautiful bride who has cheek bones and facial features TO DIE FOR! GAH! Just look! And THIS is before her makeup was complete! That’s right!

She looked STUNNING!  While they were finishing that up, Emily and I then grabbed the details and photographed away!  That purse…all the ladies had them…it was fabulous!

These are some of my favorite ring shots! AHHHH!! And you all know I can struggle with getting those rings to stay right where I want them on the flowers.  Not this wedding! EKKK!

Then, Sarah had all the finishing touches placed!

Fabulous hair and makeup…check and CHECK!  Hairpiece…CHECK!

Then, Enzo had to finish getting prepped for the day and his Momma was happy to help!

Can’t forget about his brother either!

So, at that point, we left the ladies to get dressed and we marched back over to Jake’s cabin.  We said our “hellos” again and then grabbed his details.  The guys were so kind and welcoming too and we had lots of good conversation.  We never get to do groom details! AHHHH!! So exciting!

Back over to Sarah while the men got dressed.  We needed to get those last minute touch ups! Her beautiful Mom, Terri, helped her get ready along with her sweet sisters!

I don’t usually share a whole lot of black and white but with this wedding?  It’s a must!  It just brings out the timeless feel!  SARAH!  AHHHH!!  That’s all I’ll say about that!  You’ll see for yourself!

Check out these beautiful ladies!  This whole group nailed the personality shots!  Also, the color?!  My wedding photographer heart was SO happy!

Alright!! Time for the men!  Jake got himself ready! We were trying to beat the clock because the trolley had just arrived! Let’s do this!

His mom, Lori, helped him finish getting ready.

Enzo wanted some Daddy time too!

Groom and Groomsmen photos! 3…2…1…GO!

…and just like that…it was time for the ceremony on Oglebay’s West Spa Patio!  We handed the bridal party over to Nancy and got all those “must have” ceremony photos!

We had Matt VanFossen officiating!  Here comes the bride!  Sarah’s mom let some happy tears go!

I wish you all could have been there for this heart felt speech from a dear friend!

It’s always SO pretty up there!  Add in the amazing weather…winning!

Mr. & Mrs. Timmerman, everyone!  They requested a few celebratory photos! I was happy to oblige!

After family photos, we went on over to the mansion for bridal party photos! Enzo was there too, of course!

At this point, Enzo was just showing off! OOooo my goodness. YES!  He is just as cute and sweet in person as he looks in these photos!

And now, it’s time for those bride and groom photos!  Emily and I were, of course, tag teaming all these for alllll the angles!

Black and white?  Color?  It didn’t matter!

I remember from their engagement session (HERE) that Sarah loves flowers.  So, let’s do flowers! EKKKKK!!!!

…and some more!

Sarah wanted some steps too before we made our way back to the Pine Room!

It’s almost time for the reception!

Off they go!

Sarah requested just one more!

Now, all those reception details!

Pretty cake by Bethel Bakery!

DJ Brian Oliver welcomed everyone and then it was time to welcome the couple! Let’s eat cake!

First dances!

Enzo was tuckered out at this point but still stealing the attention during speeches!

Sarah and Jake provided their guests with all kinds of entertainment…inside and out!

Then, Brian and I did our table shots while I raced him (I had to get all the table shots complete before the 3 minute song is over)!  AND we did it! WOOO!!  Anyone who wants a copy, let me know!

Alright! Let’s get this party started! Formal dances with moms and dad and then…let’s get DOWN!  Yep!  Enzo danced too!

Bouquet toss!

…and that’s how we left them!  All of their friends and family were celebrating with the bride and groom wrapped in love!

“Thanks for Celebrating With Us”

…and thanks for reading!  Be sure to check out their hashtag “ToastTheTimmermans” over on IG to see more of their big day from the eyes of their very close family and friends who were in attendance!  We really couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day for this couple!! Thank you to all who were involved and a huge thank you to Sarah and Jake for trusting me to be the capturer of their big, special day!  One more time!  CONGRATS TO THE NEW MR. & MRS. TIMMERMAN!
