Oglebay August Flower Engagement Photos

It’s Thursday!  Boy Ooo boy…it’s been a BUSY couple of weeks this August and it’s just going to keep on getting busier as we go!  You know what makes this crazy job that has me working 50-60 hours a week so great?!  People like this couple I’m about to introduce you to…and if you’re new here…I have lots and lots of words in my blogs so sit back, relax, and enjoy!  Clint and Paige are making their blog debut right now!  Enjoy!

If you’re NOT new here, you now I always remind everyone what a crazy place this world is…and how small…and how the wedding gods just keep handing me couples I feel like I’ve known forever.  When Paige first reached out, we met online and starting chatting.  It was easy conversation.  She and I have mutual “friends” – Hannah Barlow Photography brides (Hey, Meghan and Cheyenne!).  During that meeting, we talked about a little of this…a little of that…and she decided to book.  It’s been easy with her from the beginning.  So, we met up for this engagement session a few days ago and I got to meet Clint too.  They traveled a long way for this session and to enjoy the Oglebay flowers that are in their prime in August.  So, once they changed and touched up, I got to meet Client officially.  Easy conversation with these two, I tell ya!  It really felt like we’d known each other for a while (at least on my end).  We talked about where we should start and I kept naming different options for photos.  I mentioned the “pillars” and Paige’s face immediately lit up! To the pillars we shall go!  These two told me they needed help posing…the lies they told me, I tell ya.  They needed very little, if any, help!  You’ll see for yourself!  Let’s do this!

Then, we started making our way back to the flowers and worked our way back to Clint’s truck.  I’ll admit…I was really really really feeling these so I held them hostage (knowing they had a long drive home…Oy) but I just had VISIONS…and I needed them to come to life.  I can just picture their wedding photos now! AHHH! It’s going to be amazing and most definitely will be one of those weddings I need a sedative for…HA!  Their story of how their romance began is a great one too!  They “knew” each other from high school…but not really.  Clint was a senior when Paige was a freshman.  It wasn’t until after high school they bumped into each other one night at a bar and talked about their history and how they’re from the same town.   Paige says it’s her favorite story (and I’m over here giggling like a school girl over it too).  Later that night, a few words from a friend left Paige leaving the bar in a not so great mood.  Client caught wind of what was going on, asked Paige’s friend for her number, and ran after her while calling her…and that sparked something between them and they talked every day after that…starting dating officially dating a few months later…and then were engaged not long after that!  When you know…you know!

Side note…they went ALL in with the shoulder stiff!  We all had a great laugh!

OoOo these two! THESE TWO!  I was a squealing machine!  I don’t traditionally love sitting photos but I just HAD A FEELING these two would nail it.  They did!  Then, I kept getting more and more and more visions of poses I could do with them.  They’re just really natural together.  Can you see it?!  OoO man.  Someone smack me now because I am SO pumped up for their wedding and it’s not until July of next year!

See what I mean?  They’re just so cozy together!

I need everyone to take some notes from the Paige and Clint engagement session wardrobe book!  Yes! Please…and thank you!

I always tell my couples that this is the point in the session it doesn’t feel weird anymore.  I mean, it was never weird with them for me but everyone has to get used to my camera.  My camera sure does love these two too…a lot!  I feel like I really…really…got to know them while we chatted about a little bit of everything.  Client earned himself ALLLL the groom photos and Paige?  Well, I have a feeling you and I are going to be chatting and texting and Facetiming a real good bit leading up to this wedding which, you know…makes the wedding day all the more sweeter!

I mean…why not?!  Everyone needs a dancing photo, right?!

Paige tells me there’s going to be alllll the flowers thanks to Clint’s mom at their wedding next year.  She showed me an inspiration photo of her bouquet and I’m telling you now…this wedding is going to be GORGEOUS…good flowers…amazing people…one whole year of pent up Hannah Barlow wedding photographer energy…OooO man.  Brace yourself for impact, you two!  I’m going to come into your wedding, camera in hand…with allllll the ideas and visions and wedding photographer hopes and dreams.  No pressure, right?!  I can tell you now…11 months in advance…we’ve got nothing to worry about.  It’s going to be an amazing day no matter what!

Well, I really could pack a lot more words into this one but I’ll save that for their wedding blog!  That’s it for this one!  I’m just sitting here smiling like a fool because I just keep getting handed couples like this who roll with my crazy ideas and give me the most gorgeous photos!  2022 is shaping up to be one of the best years YET!  Thanks for reading!  See you again next year with these two!  Happy Thursday!
